Same here, at least in BC. Even if you choose to pass out in your vehicle instead of driving home or sleeping on the street, you can get a DUI. The logic behind that is that you could wake up still under the influence and then drive. But it's illogical because anyone can wake up hung over in their home and go out driving too. It's like arresting someone because they "might" commit a crime... It's about control and $$$, really.
