Re: Describe What YOU Believe Would Be The Perfect System/Society..
The perfect system is pure communism. NOT the kind of communism that's in Russia or China. I refer to a utopian society like Shangrala where there is no government, everyone works for the betterment of everyone else and there are no laws because the Golden Rule exists in everyone.

It is a society that truly believes in an eye for an eye. With that in mind, nobody dares to wrong his brother, for he will pay for his wrongs in kind, tit for tat. Steal his goat, you lose a goat. When everyone tows the line, life is golden.

Works for me....

Have a nice day.

-National Firearms act of 1934 abolished.
-IRS abolished.
-BATF abolished, try those present at Waco, TX, Fast and Furious, etc.
-Dual citizens in federal and state governments given 1 week to renounce dual citizenship or face immediate deportation.
-illegal immigrants rounded up. no green card, immediate deportation to country of choice.
-All troops on foreign soil brought home and given immediate 30 day leave period, and 10% pay increase.
-After 30 days leave troops will be reassigned at strategic places along the US borders. North and South.
-Federal reserve abolished.
-Any and all politicians who have violated the Constitution will be immediately tried and executed upon guilty verdict.
-Gold/silver reinstated as currency. States can set up "exchanges".
-Glass-Steagall Act reinstated.
-EPA abolished.
-All federal lands given back to the States.
-Any and all gun laws that violate (aka infringe) upon private citizens 2nd amendment right immediately revoked.
-Pulic education immediately terminated.
-DOT abolished.
-Drug war immediately defunded, ended and DEA abolished.
-TSA officers that violated the 4th amendment on video/camera immediately tried and executed.
-TSA abolished.
-All government regulations on private industry immediately abolished.
-GMO immediately banned.
-FDA abolished.
-Convicted pedophiles and rapists immediately executed, under the law of two witnesses (dna, accuser, video, computer records, etc. any two will suffice)
-Any elected or assigned official who willingly broke the Constitution will be tried and executed, from local government officials to the Supreme Court Judges.
-All foreign aid immediately halted.
-Government subsidizing food immediately stopped.
-Term limits for senators/congressman, and any other public official immediately instated.

That is my starter list for a good society. Anything not expressly given to the Federal Government via the Constitution will return to the States.

Chaos will likely be there at first, but given time...we will have a good foundation to rebuild upon. It has gone way too far, time to roll back...

the nobody is disclosed and he collaborates with free thinkers around the world to determine the factual informations of conspiracies. he is given a high lvl of authority to percieve and it is scientifically proven that he is the most just philosopher alive. aliens come to earth and make sure that he remains just, negative energy is eventually cleansed from the planet and the humans are then allowed to inherit intergalactik technology. humans become guardians of the god particle and help to understand and maintain the true essence and shape of the most beautiful universe.

We all have negative things to say about the government, politicians, corporations, etc etc...

Obviously there is no "perfect" system. But what would be your preferred system?

Well, describe your ideal system, and how it would work. Describe what kind of government you would want, if any. Describe what their responsibilities would be. Describe what kind of economy you would like. What healthcare would be like...

Change of pace from just pointing out the negative, lets describe our preferred society.

...continued from last post... a perfect example of this crisis is the advent of the 3D printer. Now anyone will be able to print out banned weapons. This situation is an ideal summary of the problem.

The only way we could have freedom would be to lose our technology - but that would mean going back to the terrible conditions our ancestors suffered - starving or freezing in the winter, dying from a simple cut, vigilante gangs, etc.

There is no solution that would provide both freedom and the security and comforts of technology.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 46828432

I keep running into the same issues when analysing "freedom", "free markets" and "liberty". It seems, historically, the more tyrannical a society, the safer the people at least until the tyranny targets the body like an autoimmune disorder would.

 Quoting: luridanimus

exactly true - a high tech society requires a central nexus of power. Just imagine a future time where we all could have "Mr Fusion" machines like in Back to the Future. A domestic dispute could turn into a nuclear exchange.

At the same time, sadly, the importance of the individual is subsumed by the needs of the society which has reached the stage of a high performance machine. Your body is such a machine, and each part within your body is required to perform a very exact function. And the death of 1 cell is on no consequence. There is no freedom for the cell. When it declares its independence, we call that cancer.

inevitably the power reaches a point where it decides to reorganize the system, cutting out some portions. To those portions, the experience is genocide.

I don't believe this situation could ever be rectified - not so long as life is mortal. As long as life is mortal, it requires an environment with certain safeguards to prevent death. Errors in the system equate to the threat of death. Product recalls are an example of a small error in the system.

So what I am saying is that the fact of mortality and the core urge for survival is the root cause of slavery.

Yes there is. It is the US constitution as it was originally written and for the people it was intended. If we had not ignored our founding document and perverted the morality of our nation we would still be a free people with a limited government.

Technology is not what causes people to do right or wrong or governments to be benevolent or malevolent. It is morality.

"We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." - John Adams
"God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, & always, well informed... If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty... Let them take arms... What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. " - Thomas Jefferson in 1787

Something Similar to Star Trek. I think the movie First contact mentions a bit of how the future society would be. Also the are several episodes in the original TV series and Star Trek the next generation that hint on what life on earth is like. Basically no monetary system and everyone respects each other, we've grow out of the infancy we are currently at.

Federal Government needs to be limited. We should implement the "Fair Tax" plan. That way everyone pays taxes based on their spending.... No one gets out of paying taxes (including people on welfare, foodstamps, working under the table, etc....) And we need the Constitution RE-Instated, because if you ask me, it has been pretty much thrown out the window by Obama, Congress, TPTB, etc.... Of course we need rules and laws to abide by so we wouldn't have a meltdown of utter chaos but the government needs to stay where it belongs... in Washington, not in my health records, or my house, or recording my phone, spying on my computer sites, and the list goes on. That's just my own lil' ole opinion. peace

Similar to the one we have now but the pay for people in office would only be slightly above minimum wage. It would be impossible to run for office. The people of the area have to select 20 candidates and all of the candidates whether they like it or not MUST submit a 1 page article on their values and life experience. They must have traveled to over 30 different countries outside the US.

This will give us wise leaders instead of retards.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 48084398

My thought is maybe get picked similar to jury selection. A person could get out of it for the same type reasons, but if chosen they put in two years. If they are not able to continue their current job, pay them what they were making at the time. Retired or unemployed would get a set amount. Haven't thought it all out, but start out like that.

yet at the same time we had a constitution, supposedly a beacon of higher values, we were exterminating the American Indians and owned black people.

Morality is moving target, 100% programmed. What was moral yesterday is immoral today and vice versa. The brutal fact is that life is about competition for survival, it was never designed to be a love-in. That was programming, a con, to get the members of an organized society to stay within the lines of their designated roles and not misbehave. The Constitution made certain promises as part of the sugar in the deal to get the subjects to agree to the merit of the contract overall. Religion is the same deal.

Recently, India designed dolphins as non-human persons. So maybe down the road its discovered that all animals have feelings and meat eating will be murder. Then perhaps they discover that plants have feelings and so on. The wall is hit when we realize that we cannot survive without harming other life.
