The Montana State Prison in Deer Lodge has a wood shop where cabinets, desks, and other hand made wood materials are made to order for local companies and private homes. In Arizona the things that inmates make on their own time, arts, crafts and what not can be sold in a little shop close to the prison where the items are open to be sold to the public and the proceeds go to the inmate who made the items.
