With the horrendous experience of 1999 still haunting them, no one wants to take anything for granted, retired government officer Yudhistir Mohanty said. |

Sounds like they are doing their best to get out of harm's way. I pray for their safety. My only questions: Who gave the 'go ahead' order to HAARP? Is India not in compliance with the NWO? What order did they not obey? Why are they caving in on India? Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world. Whatever feels good to your soul, do that. |

Prayers, evacuations as Odisha braces for cyclone Phailin. Bhubaneshwar: Rain and wind lashed India’s east coast and nearly 400,000 people fled to cyclone shelters after the government issued a red alert and warned of severe damage when one of the largest storms the country has ever seen. Muslims and Hindus gathered at mosques and temples in Odisha state, praying Cyclone Phailin would not be as devastating as a similar storm that killed 10,000 people 14 years ago. Heavy rain pounded coastal villages in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh. [link to www.firstpost.com] |

Live: Winds may hit 240 kmph when Phailin arrives, says IMD. “This isn’t the world’s strongest storm but is definitely the most powerful to hit the nation this year,” IMD officials said. However, while US officials have lowered their expectations, they maintain that Phailin will be one of the strongest storms ever and can wreak large scale damage. Ryan Maue, a meteorologist at Weather Bell, a private U.S. weather firm, said,"even in the best-case scenario there will be a storm surge of 20-30 feet (7-9 meters)." A storm surge — the giant wall of water that that a cyclone blasts ashore — is the big killer in these storms, even more than winds. "The storm already has been large and powerful for nearly 36 hours, he said, and those winds have built up tremendous amount of surge", Maue said. Satellite images showed the cyclone filling nearly the entire Bay of Bengal, an area larger than France. A storm this large can’t peter out that fast,” Maue said. “There’s nothing to stop it at this point.” :( [link to www.firstpost.com] |

They are willing now.” In nearby Andhra Pradesh, heavy rain and strong winds pummelled a coastal highway, and left lush green fields sodden with water. “We are ready to evacuate,” said wiry-haired Jagdesh Dasari, 35, chief of the fishing village of Mogadhalupadu, which has 2,500 residents, as the rain poured down. “If the waves come higher, the whole place will vanish.” |
