The Sweetest Sounds

In my memory , which fails me from time to time as I get older, One of my most heartwarming things I remember is my dear Mother banging around in the kitchen, surely there is no sweeter sound

Dishes being sorted, food glorious food being prepared for me and my siblings

We didn't have a lot of money and food was not a commodity on the stock market..it was something in the belly that was created with love.

Now Im am a mother and when my kids ask those never ending questions, like "whats for dinner" and "when will dinner be ready"

I think of my Mother
