Re: Is God Omnipotent?
if God is omnipotent...

why are christians so nervous to convert everybody to christianity?

why do christians always want to infiltrate the government to get things their way?

why are christians so nervous about christianity dying away?

how often do you hear christians saying "where is God" when something bad happens?

if God is omnipotent, why does prayer work as much as when you pray to a rock?

not only is God not omnipotent... God is a lie.

Maybe he is omniimpotent.

Then a God who can regulate gravity in the way you describe could do both of the tasks the OP asked.

So he CAN create an object he cannot lift?-He is not god

Thank you for agreeing with OP-There is no god!!!

Yes He could create a rock so massive that it would span the entire Universe and yet give it the weight of a feather. However if he did this where would he lift it to?

Answer me this Bible-Tards:

Can 'God' create a stone so heavy that not even God himself can lift it?

If He CAN create a stone so heavy that He cannot lift it: God is not omnipotent.

If He CANNOTcreate a stone so heavy that He cannot lift it: God is not omnipotent.

Either way God is NOT omnipotent!

God has been disproved!

Simple. God would have to become that stone. God does not need to lift Himself because Awareness is formless.

Nice try but no cigar.

Why does the rock need to be the size of the universe?

Surely 'God' could make this infinite mass(rock) the same size as a mote of dust?

Then, there would be plenty of room for him to lift it.

If he cannot create a rock of infinite mass the size of a mote of dust: He is not omnipotent.

If He can create a rock of infinite mass the size of a mote of dust that he cannot lift:He is not omnipotent.

If 'God' was omnipotent,He could, with one wave of his magic wand, make it so the infinite mass would have no effect on the universe.

If God cannot do this : He is not omnipotent.

Maybe God is just a feeble excuses for people who need the crutch of a 'God' to justify their existence and cannot face the truth; that they are responsible for themselves and the state of the world.

I belong to no religion:
The god thing is everywhere, all the time and does not do parlor tricks. Of course the god thing and the universal consciousness will be nothing to you unless you seek it out. Most people confine their god to a building, book and an hour a week. God is not money and law. It's all about an individual consciousness and how it fits in the universe. Either you exist within or stand outside criticizing.

Those people who no bend knee before God will perish and scream in Hell and after the rapture they will DIE.

qoutes for you
He cannot pose a question that He cannot answer. If He were to be on the game show, Jeopardy, He would answer every possible question correctly before it was asked. Having Him as a competing classmate would be a nightmare; on every exam ever administered, there would be no curve as He would have a perfect score each time.

Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed- 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory." 55 "Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?" 56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Cor 15:51-57

Yes it's a word game.

You asked if God could create a rock which He could not lift. I answered by saying that a rock the size of the Universe would be technically uplift able because there would be nowhere to lift it to outside of physical space. He may still be able to lift the weight of it but also not be able to lift it in any sense of the word lift.

Simple word play.

It depends on what you expect of an omnipotent being. To constantly prove its ominpotencity? That would be a tyranny. You are free to believe whatever you want, even in that evil is better than goodness and reaping the rewards of your work. If there were no illusion everything would be too mechanical and boring.

Live your illusion...
