Step Back User ID: 19192910 United States 10/16/2013 03:15 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Conservative Organization Urges 'No' Vote On Senate Compromise Quoting: ftownballa Share Club for Growth, the conservative advocacy group, is telling House Republicans not to vote for the Senate’s compromise. As the conservative group Heritage Action did yesterday, Club for Growth is marking this vote a “key vote” on Representatives’ legislative scorecards: This announced plan, the details of which aren’t completely known, appears to have little to no reforms in it. There are no significant changes to ObamaCare, nothing on the other major entitlements that are racked with trillions in unfunded liabilities, and no meaningful spending cuts either. If this bill passes, Congress will kick the can down the road, yet again. Our Congressional Scorecard for the 113th Congress provides a comprehensive rating of how well or how poorly each member of Congress supports pro-growth, free-market policies and will be distributed to our members and to the public. Heritage’s opposition yesterday seemingly blew up an emerging House compromise. The implications of Club for Growth’s opposition aren’t yet clear What they are saying is that if you vote for this resolution then we will find an opponent to run against you in your primary election, and we will provide them with millions of dollars to run as aggressive a campaign as necessary to defeat you. If this individual is then elected he will then be subservient to our will, because he owes his political life to us. I see a lot of talk about socialism and communism on this site, but this is fascism plain and simple. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 48073061 United States 10/16/2013 03:17 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Listen people, Quoting: Anonymous Coward 48406853 The House Republicans will NOT for this bill if they don't get anything out of it..It's that simple. Do guys really believe that Senator Reid and Mitch McConnell were able to strike a ''bipartisan'' bill that has any real merit to it a. Mitch McConnell must be a fucking genius then seeing he did something in less than 2 days that John Bohner and the House Republicans couldn't do in 2 WEEKS of debating.. This is all political posturing to keep the markets green. Get ready for the surprise. you forget dude..they wouldnt need every repub to vote for this.. just 20 something and thats all they need. The house Repubs gave only Cantor the final say. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 48065488 United States 10/16/2013 03:17 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ... Quoting: + DL + What you don't understand is THEY KNOW they will get nothing. They are voting for it because they are afraid of what happens if they don't. That's it. Don't over think this... They are spineless cowards. The House Republicans have too much too lose if they pass this bill.Nobody will ever take them serious ever again in anything they say. The most logical thing for the House to do is NOT vote for this bill. If we default everyone will be blamed not just the republicans HAHA! This is the grand strategy? This is borderline treason. Or that's what will be said by just about everyone... Passing the (UN)Affordable Care Act without even reading it was borderline treason. This house of cards is going to come down soon enough and when it does, it doesn't matter who get's blamed. Last I checked the blame game didn't feed someone's starving children which is exactly what's going to happen during the inevitable collapse. It's a safe bet that most of these politicians are being promised a seat in the bunker or a nice piece of land overseas for them and their families for their "cooperation" in taking down this country which is necessary for the NWO to come to fruition. I truly don't understand how people can't see that these people do not care whatsoever what we think of them. They just want to keep us calm until they have all their provisions made and make sure the bubble is large enough that when it pops there is no chance of economic survival. They won't get a second chance at this. These people have families too, as as pathetic as it is, fear and self-preservation goes a lot further than greed. Unfortunately they are sacrificing millions to save a few. NO IS TREASON. |

Also, isn't this a revenue bill? It must originate in the HOUSE according to the Constitution. |

It must originate in the HOUSE according to the Constitution. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 46733749 IIRC what the senate will do is amend an earlier house bill. That crap again? Like the way they got TARP thru, stripping out 100% of the language from a House bill, then putting in their own language. I think that was the first time to do it so cynically like this. And it's been done several times since. I believe that "method" has not yet been ruled on by the SCOTUS. Guys, the country is about gone, the rules are just for laughing at now. |

I am sure there's immense pressure to vote yes, but there's also some pressure to vote no. Remember just yesterday everyone was saying TPTB wanted a shutdown, stop food stamps, riots in streets, etc. etc. |
