I'm interested and the link brought up something I recently pondered & commented to a friend about; Human mammals have the very longest in raising their young. Eighteen years; really.
That said, it digresses from the original topic of love and I think it's awesome to contemplate that our earliest ancestors could have had love perhaps born mainly out of necessity for survival.

Love is not the product of lousy neurons, it's the product of humans stupidity.

Love is the term pathetic people who cannot handle reality use to describe being in heat just like every other mammal. The hormone/drug induced haze generated by a DNA controlled hardwired drive which makes procreation seem like a great idea.

Love is the product of neurons, yes (as is EVERYTHING) but it's also what makes us bond to one another, increasing our chances of survival & reproduction. Humans are pack animals.
