Unfortunately these days, Id have to agree that most Americans are zombies. So many have lost the fire that used to make us uniquely...American. Buried deep down by 100 years of progressive thought and policies.

You think back to our founding and even up until the 1800s, most people were political, very into the goings on of what our country was, how it worked, and those responsible. How can you ever be a truly free nation and aware of your freedoms and how to protect them if you don't even understand the concept. Now days you can't even make a slightly political post on Facebook without being de-friended or branded some kind of "extremist".

I think that fire is still inside many people who just choose not to feel it day in and day out. Unfortunately it always takes some sort of tragedy or event to bring it out in them. They truly have no fear of losing their freedoms because they haven't been threatened enough with them being taken away. They are tuned out, and TPTB have taken advantage of this over the past century.

Maybe one day those fires within them can be re-ignited and we can take our country back, and those classic patriots like myself will be here waiting for you to stand with you.

You are not recognizing what you are seeing. What is happening in the US are the "seeds" of discontent not the plants. Things here are still very good, paradise compared to many other places in the world why turn one's world upside down when it is not yet necessary?

We still have enough money to splurge on a great vacation, plenty of food, electronics, services and conveniences. We are not yet desperate.

I don't blame people for wrapping themselves in a blanket and pretending that everything is fine...Only when they can not feed their kids, put gas in their cars, no jobs, crippling taxes for no services will the situation become desperate enough to act.

I have no idea. I assume you are residing in the US. But I dont really look at flags, except those of non Americans. Like Egyptians talking about Egypt, Greeks about Greece, and so on. But because this place is dominated by Americans I can pretty much tell who they are no matter their proxy. Quite easy, really. They are very tribal. Distinct. Probably many Americans were shocked with the flags first came up. But they needed a leg up in their arguments, I guess. Attack the flag not the content, sort of thing...

It is inevitable that one day the US will become balkanized. Some states will be well off, while others deep in the South will be like third world shitholes.
