Anybody had the new flu or shingles shot?

Anyone else with adverse side effects?

I have to get the flu shot or I lose my job. I got mine 3 days ago and no side effects, but everyone is different.

I have never touched them. Something about having a dose of mercury being injected when the medical examples of the past show that it causes alot of problems.

hopefully she will be alright. she told me she was going to bed though and she sounded really tired. my dad is there if she has any trouble.

I no longer take flu shots for almost 10 years now and laugh at the shingles vaccination as I had shingles years ago and it was nowhere near as bad as they portray it and I laughed at my doctor when she said I could get it again along with suggesting the pneumonia shot was crucial to my well-being.

Do you help your body remove heavy metals such as mercury contained in inoculations through chelation agents such as cilantro?

My Mama always took the flu and pneumonia shot - even though I begged her not to.

She died this past January with pneumonia.

Don't think for a minute that your experience with shingles is what everyone else had. Did you have them on your face? How about your asshole? How about in your ear?

It really depends on what vaccine, where you got it from, and what hospital/office/retail chain it was given from.

I never got either immunization. I refuse to. I did get shingles last year on the bridge of my nose. Had no idea what it was. They were water blisters. I assumed I had a reaction to something outside...a plant or an insect bite. I made an appointment with a dermatologist.

Several hours later, pain started it my ear left ear. So I googled, "blisters, sharp pain,", and sure enough, "shingles" came up.

I immediately looked online to see what vitamins were recommended. On my way home from the physician's office the next day, I bought the vitamins. The doctor gave me the medication for shingles and also told me to see my eye doctor as soon as possible.

My eye doctor saw me the very next day, and saw me every few days, then once a week, then in two weeks, then every two months, etc. They follow it closely when shingles appears on the face.

Just a word of advice when you get those blisters and have pain. Get the medication for shingles and the vitamins immediately! The sharp pain in the ear was bad, and lasted about three days. The blisters turn to scabs, and mine lasted about 7 days, then I was fine.

Me too, it makes me angry, but I dont see an out. They are over vaxing kids and animals too.

You got lucky, my grandmother has them bad and it hurts bad. An awkward pain.

Yes...I was always under the impression that the waist area was where shingles appeared. I had no idea it could affect other parts of the body. I never knew anyone with shingles before!

Nope I don't do flu shots my mom just got hers everytime she is sick for a day. They give the live virus.

No flu shots for me thanks I like being healthy

Yes. My opinion of the gov and pres obama has changed. I luv them all now. Boy they really are doing a wonderful job. I wish they would raise taxes.

Saw one of my older relatives suffer through the pain of Shingles and quite eagerly got the vaccine.

Hope it works and I never get it.

Shingles was painful and I suppose that luck was on my side as the Shingles virus struck me from my thighs to below my knees during my late 20’s, as it did my father who had shingles on his back. Being in the military the doctor had offered no relief to the blisters and pain thus I used Willard Water externally to clean the area and internally to aid my health.

In those days, Tea Tree oil was beginning to be popular and it proved excellent in treating the blisters they dried up quickly, which was a boon to the nothing that the military doctor offered as treatment.

I had never heard of Shingles before my boss got them about 15 years ago -- my neighbor's high school age son also got them. He had them bad on his backside and down one leg. Then 3 years ago, my sister, my brother-in-law and my friend all got them within a few weeks of one another. Some years back a different brother-in-laws mother got them and she has had severe damage and has been in constant pain ever since -- it's been years now. Nothing seems to help the pain for her. Another person I know got them last year and his wife says he's really never been the same since. So it can be devastating to some people and it appears that "older" age, as we've all been led to believe, is not really one of the criteria of this disease. Only 2 of the 6 people I know were over 60.

Our insurance won't cover it until you are age 60, and then it must be given by your own doctor. Can't just stop in at the pharmacy or clinic.

We have grandbabies in the house so 1 got the flu shot last Monday. This week I have been sicker than a dog with some type of upper respiratory infection/sinus/swollen glands ,etc. I see the doc tomorrow... I have asthma and RA so I never get the live virus, and they say it can't get you sick, yet this is the second year I have gotten an upper resp. a week or so after a flu shot. My husband religiously gets the flu shot and to my knowledge has never gotten sick from it. L

A simple search engine research will bring up the same basic information concerning shingles if the website I provided bothers your sensibilities the n choose another source.
