I seen it last week and brought my good binoculars home, but it's been so cloudy here the last several days, it's pissing me off.

Pissing you off. I have only been able to see this thing once. It is always cloudy where I am. Even when I went to the opposite side of the US. Great find.
Awww, damn it. It was a great quote too.

we are is spring, normally a time of crispy clear skies and excellent viewing. What do we have? bushfires and ridiculous never-ending cloudy weather. We are being blinded, I feel it in my bones.

I was thinking the same thing myself. AFAIK tens of thousands of dollars were donated by the users of GLP and there were pictures posted at different stages of production. Did the telescope die in a fire or something?

From the replies i have a feeling the scope is not supposed to be used to view stuff that's not supposed to be seen

Clear as a bell here in Indiana as cold front moves in. There she blows in the western sky. First time I seen it I thought it was a plane coming my way. Slowly disappeared below horizon. Half hour ago plain as day.

Re: Skyview Team and the Western Sky Object
Skyview team are FAKERS.

A little while back they published a video of an object they claimed was 'incoming' from the Kuiper belt.

The 'object' they showed was a degraded image of a galaxy known as Messier 64 (m64), the 'Blackeye' galaxy.

They obviously have NO experience of practical observing, bacause by degrading a good image of m64, all they did was make it look EXACTLY as it appears visually, through an amateur-class telescope of about 8" to 10" aperture.

Any beginning amateur astronomer who has a reasonable knowledge of the Messier list could instantly recognise it.
The fact that the 'Skyview team' didn't know it was so easy to recognise, just shows their ignorance of the subject.

I don't know much about the team but I'm currently looking at the heavenly body. The sky is clear and no other shining object in sight. I'm on the west coast.

We all know Skyview team is a bullshit team, but at least they have done something to verify what people are seeing! You don't see the GLP Scope or anyone else confirming this do you?
