This is ridiculous if true. A student should be allowed to bring lunch from home regardless of a medical condition which would prevent them from eating the "crappy" school lunches.

I have a 13 year old and he brings a packed lunch frequently. I am in Virginia too, Stafford County Public Schools.

Preschool is not K12 federal program, so its private and they can make whatever dumb rules they want. She obviously has chosen a stupid preschool and should go somewhere else.

Apparently, the original mother who posted this WILL NOT be naming the school toward respect to the other children there and for the safety of her own.

They don't want you to feed your kid. They want to break the bond of parent child nurturing. Dismiss this if you think its extreme, but they study psychology. They are especially desirous to level the playing field. If the great family unit is providing lunches and the single parent home is needing assistants than they don't want the kids to perceive an inequality.

Our local schools now feed them breakfast and lunch for free. Bringing your lunch implies independence and non-conformity. Goes against the agenda to make everyone a slave to the government.

On another occasion....
I once had to pick my child up for a doctors appointment. I go in to check her out at the HS. It happened to be during lunch and they did not know exactly where she was at the moment. They do not have to be in the cafeteria and could be in several places. Which I understood and was no big deal really.

I stated I would just call her, and the attendance clerk said if she was seen using her phone, they would take it away. I looked at her and point blank said, NO they will not. She gave me a look as if to say who do you think you are. I said in no certain terms that if they take her phone when I, the parent is on the other end, there would be hell to pay.

Then she showed up knowing I was going to be picking her up. So I did not get to push the issue further.

These Government bureaucrats have no idea how close the clock is about to strike midnight for them.....

People like you are the reason we need more institutionalization of children for education, health and safety reasons.

What if you decided that only feeding your kids a vegetarian diet is the best for them? They would die from malnutrition, as has already happened in the world.

Parents rarely know what is best for their children. I hope that parents have less and less say in their children's lives next year.

One time, in college, I went to use the copy machine, and saw that someone had left their doctor's note on it. Boy did I reuse that note. Helps to know graphic design as well.

Just saying. I also laugh every time someone asks for a copy of a receipt or a copy of a tax return, like for renting an apartment.
