Broccoli is one of my favorite veggies so pushing that is no problem. I have to meet with the surgeon on Tuesday but I'm telling him I don't want surgery. I'm not in any discomfort and I'm confident I can reverse this. I honestly think having my gallbladder removed would cause more problems for me instead of resolving anything. Plus, it's kinda fun proving doctors wrong. I think that's the best choice. If it's not impacting your life, why get surgery? And I agree, you might be able to resolve the issue on your own.
Quoting: KickinIt I've never had one of the attacks that some people get and these gallstones have been there for years. I probably should've starting what I'm doing now back then, but back then there was no surgery talk so I didn't put much thought into it. Surgery should always be the last option, imo. I need my parts lol. Quoting: Simple27 Back in about 2000 I was having some dull pain on my right side just above the belt line. This pain would become worse when I ate food that was cooked in oil or fried. One time I ate a doughnut and about 20 minutes later the pain was off the charts. I took 7 Tylenol to try to stop the pain but it didn't work. That many Tylenol is not good for you. The thing that reduced the pain was for me to lay upside down off the sofa with my head on the floor. Apparently that stretched my stomach so that the pain was not as bad. After that I decided go to the DR and he diagnosed it as gall stones. At that time he scheduled surgery for the next week on Friday. I went in and had the surgery on that Friday and came out with three 1/2 inch taped up incisions at 3 points on my stomach. Top at my rib cage, at my belly button and on the right side. They were taped up with surgical tape. The tape came off about a week later. I went home the same day of the surgery and layed low for the weekend. On Monday I went back to work for a half day and on Tuesday went back to work as usual. The DR said that there might some foods that I might not digest the same as before such as beans and such. I haven't had any noticeable problems with eating food that I know of even to this day. I look back at the surgery and think that it was not a problem or a big deal. At this time you can't even tell where the incisions were made. That's promising in the event that I do have to take the surgery route one day. Those attacks sound brutal from everyone I've heard who's had one. I'm sure if I was having them I would be open to surgery now. But since I haven't had any, I have hope that I can fix this before it comes to getting them and/or needing surgery. I'm a wimp jo! I'm scared of being cut into. Every time I have in the past I get awful anxiety waiting on the surgery date to arrive and then the day of surgery...forget it. I need Xanax for that day lol! I really am happy that everything worked out for you. I couldn't imagine the pain you had prior to the surgery. ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

Quoting: Simple27 All 3 of us liked it! But based on the trailer and reading how it is one of the scariest movies ever, it was different than I expected. There were parts that were scary, but overall it wasn't that kind of movie that makes you jump out of your seat. In fact, 3/4 of it was that kind of slow-build, with some freaky brief moments here and there. Until towards the end, when the whole story comes together and that's when it got real freaky. Although not what I expected, I rather liked it. Not the best movie I've ever seen, but so often horror movies are disappointing, and this one was entertaining and fun to try and follow/figure out. Toni Colette was in it, and she was really good in it. |

Especially ones that were realistic enough to believe it could happen in real life. Now though, I have to watch them with someone. I get all spooked if I watch a scary movie alone now lol.
