Aunty Arnie, if you're out there tonight, would a 4.5 pound chicken work for your lemon lemon roasted chicken recipe?
 Quoting: Simple27

yes...
sorry, missed the call-out,,,,maybe you made it???

Good morning : )

I ended up using a different recipe because I was afraid I had the wrong size chicken and didn't want to mess it up. Oh mess it up I did lol! I cooked the bird upside down lol!!! It was still delicious though.

 Quoting: Simple27

check your temperature,,,if after final roasting period, it does not read 165 deg...then turn oven to 300 and allow to rest / roast longer...

Kitchen Fact: The safe internal temperature for cooked chicken is 165° Fahrenheit (75° Celsius). A meat or instant-read thermometer is your best bet for determining the temperature of your chicken, and if you're cooking a whole bird, it should be inserted into the thickest part of the thigh but not touching bone.

I wouldn't dare cook without one! I love that thing lol! It came out really good. I just cooked it upside down.

For veggies I used baby rainbow carrots, red onion, sweet potato and asparagus. : )

Scientists said samples of red and rosé contained quantities of Caesium-137.

The radioactive material will most likely be present as it was carried in clouds to the United States, which then entered the water system through rain.

Tremors shove Washington westward, offer clues into next big earthquake

Thousands of tiny tremors over the past few months have moved parts of Washington and Vancouver Island westward. It’s a near annual event that backs expectations by some scientists that a big earthquake may hit the Seattle area harder than their previous models suggested.

Thanks Sim!

Took a drive out to Memphis on Saturday to visit my son who's starting school at UT. Decided to drive up to New Madrid just to see what's there. Turns out, there ain't much going on in that sleepy town. Did get to check out the river walk and a quaint museum just down the hill from the north bank. They had one corner of the building dedicated to NMSZ. When the big one hits, now I can say I've been there.

Have a great week all!
