Hey Sim! What are you doing here? You should be enjoying your va-cay! Quoting: Zeke38 We're a mess down here lol! Nef and my mini both got sick, mini's friend and I both just got our monthly nuisance this morning, I've got some weird heat rash or something starting on my left ankle and working its way up my calf and my legs are killing from all that walking yesterday lol! A mess I tell ya! Luckily we're not going to another park until Wednesday. We'll be going to the Magic Kingdom. That should be fun, especially to see the reactions on my niece and nephew's faces. They are so freaking cute and make this trip even better. On Saturday I had my niece in the pool and she fell asleep in her little float tube while I was swaying her back and forth in the water. So sweet. [ link to imgur.com (secure)] I had to keep my hand under the little green pillow part or her chubby face would weigh it down into the water. But back to the point haha, today I'm having a GLP day. Not doing the pool, that's for sure. Might go out later, but I'm staying on the couch for a while. : ) Quoting: Simple27 She's so cute! Glad you're getting some couch time!! The couch is my favorite place. Oh, hope Nef and mini feel better tonight. Stay safe everyone. Much love. *vaporizes* Quoting: InterMezzo Hey, I thought you were on vacation too?! Quoting: Simple27 You're supposed to be meeting me at Disney! Quoting: Simple27 Well, you know, last week was my week off and I was ready to go to Orlando last Friday, but something happened at the Amsterdam Airport. It was rather embarrassing and it is not something for delicate eyes to read. I will tell it anyway.. I was all dressed as Donald Duck, to get into the Disney mood already and got to the airport security. The officer looked me up and down, checked my passport, looked back and forth and said: "Sir, I need you to step out of that costume to be able to identify you." I nudged him and said: "I can't!" He said with a bit more force in his voice: "Sir! I need you to step out of that costume, now!" I nudged him again and whispered: "This costume is all I am wearing!" He frowned and nudged his colleague. A yuuuge muscled woman, Serena Williams 2.0, 6ft8, thunder thighs of steel, approached us, while the ground was shaking with every step she took and said in a dark voice: "Okay Mr. Duck, please step aside and raise your arms. This migh cause a bit of inconvenience." I obeyed immediately, gloating: "Yes ma'am. I understand, no problem."She started to search me and that's when I lost it... Afterwards, she held a package of cigarettes in front of me, asked me if I smoked, to which I replied: "I don't know, I haven't looked down yet." and gave me her phone number. To be honest, I am still in the twilight zone stage between convincing myself this was a typical #metoo moment and calling her. Needless to say that my ticket to Disney was withdrawn, because the names didn't match. So we will have to try again, but maybe a theme park isn't the right place to meet up. This way I will never get past airport security, especially with such an experience in mind. Quoting: InterMezzo TANSTAAFL - There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch |

TONIGHT--THE HARVEST MOON: Tonight's full Moon has a special name--the Harvest Moon. It's the full moon closest to the northern autumnal equinox. In years past, farmers depended on the light of the Harvest Moon to gather ripening crops late into the night. Post-Edison, we appreciate it mainly for its beauty. Just hours ago, Göran Strand photographed the golden orb rising over Östersund, Sweden: [ link to spaceweathergallery.com] [ link to www.spaceweather.com] "The government will one day be corrupt and full of liars, and the people will flock to the one that tells the truth." - “Tyranny is defined as that which is legal for the government but illegal for the citizenry.” - "The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not." - "I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them." - "A Country with no Border, is not a country" -- Thomas Jefferson

Hoping it clears up soon. The pic of your goddaughter is precious! Quoting: KickinIt This is craziness lol! I showed my sister my leg and she goes 'you have the Disney rash!'. I'm like wtf is that?! And keep in mind, portions of this area are just across the river from STL, and would be considered part of our metro area. Not that I'm doubting it, but odd I've never heard of it referred to as that. Also, I am very surprised they don't mention the Wabash Valley Fault in the article, which is mostly in this "Ozark dome" region, although in the eastern part. The 5.2 we had in 2008 was definitely on that fault, and the epicenter for that was only about 100 miles to the east of this quake. Quoting: KickinIt Thanks for that info!! ~*Ride the Wave*~ |
