Crappy to come back from vaca to that!! And sorry to hear you are struggling inside...I feel the pain. Finally went and got some counselling myself. Even a few sessions really helped. Still feel like there's a train coming at me, but I'm handling the reality better. Hope you find someone to talk to - it can really help!! Know you're loved, and that the voice you most listen to - the one in your head - isn't always right about what it tells you. Focus on the love & support you have from your family & on here. I am happy for so many of you that are having positive events! And am praying for those of you who are struggling or experiencing events that are troubling or tough. Seems that many folks I know are struggling in one way or another. I know we (hubby & I ) are facing a severe financial crisis, and are still working with grandson. Bad things happen to good people. We just have to depend on our loved ones and friends to help us get through. Enough philosophy tonight. Am heading to bed - have been having bad panic attacks at night, and sleep has been elusive. Am extremely tired. Hope all of you have a good night's rest, and a wonderful Sunday tomorrow. Love the avs, by the way! Good job Sim! Very creative! I can't even come up with a regular one...and some of you have such good ones! THen there's Jazzy - she has great ones all the time!!! lol Quoting: justanothergranny Granny, way to be proactive and see a counselor! So glad to hear it's helped you cope. I'm so sorry to hear about your financial woes. That's certainly an anxiety-provoking situation to be in - no surprise you're having anxiety attacks. Will keep you and the Mr. in my thoughts and hope that things will work themselves out. Also always thinking of your grandson. |

I also have storm dreams over the years,,,horrific storm coming and seeking shelter etc. What I have noticed following these dreams are economic / market collapses and recessions. To see in your dream that no one but you sees this coming, kinda' really fits the economic situation right now...everyone cheering the great economy. A couple weeks ago I did have one of these dreams. We'll see........... Quoting: Arnie That connection makes total sense. Often dreams are not to be taken literally. |

This isn’t just any space rock, though. Weighing 22 pounds, it’s the sixth-largest recorded find in Michigan — and potentially worth $100,000, according to CMU.
The rock arrived on Earth sometime in the 1930s, according its owner, who obtained it in 1988 when he bought a farm in Edmore, about 30 miles southwest of Mount Pleasant.
The farmer told him it was a meteorite, that it was part of the property and he could have it.
The farmer said that it had come down onto the property in the ’30s — “and it made a heck of a noise when it hit,” the new owner recalled him saying, according to CMU’s statement. In the morning, the farmer and his father found the crater and dug out the still-warm meteorite. [ link to fox2now.com (secure)] |

At least 12 dead and more than 100 hurt in Haiti earthquake, with toll likely to rise By sunrise on Sunday, the preliminary figures had climbed to 12 dead, scores of injured individuals along with dozens of homes and private buildings damaged or destroyed in the northern region of Haiti. There was no major damage, however, to government structures other than a cultural center in Gros Morne that collapsed, Civil Protection said in its early morning update on the situation.
“Search and rescue, and assessment still ongoing,” said Chandler, who had teams activated throughout the northwest and in Gros Morne. In some areas, efforts were being stymied by rain, which had flooded streets.
Tremors were felt throughout the country, triggering panic. At least two aftershocks were also registered, according to Civil Protection.
Last month after tremors were felt in Fort-Liberté, Cap-Haïtien and Grande Rivière du Nord, the director of the Bureau of Mines and Energy, Claude Prépetit, said in a press conference that northern Haiti, the west and Nippes regions, were most at risk for a major quake and warned Haitian authorities. A geological engineer whose office monitors seismic activity, Prépetit said Haiti’s seismic detection system had recorded about 26 earthquakes between 2.9 and 4.6 on the Richter scale during the first eight months of this year.
