Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Re: Earthquake Thread ~ Always Updated*5.5 Afghanistan ~ Pg 20354 You have such a great attitude IM, I truly wish I was more like you. Despite my consciousness of my own pessimism, it's difficult to turn it around completely. It's a constant work in progress. That aside, this is good news about the company. I think pretty much as good as we could ask for considering the alternative. Fingers crossed things improve there in the future. Quoting: KickinIt You are a beautiful soul Kickin and I am blessed with your friendship. And you are more like me than you may realize yourself. When I look at your posts I haven't seen one post that is directed at anyone in a negative way. There is so much balance in them, also in the open way you talk about stuff going on in your life. You have the power to laugh at yourself, laugh with others, to comfort and respect. That shows your true inner strength and it should be proof to you that you're not so bad at all. What I love about this thread is that Sim has gathered a core of great people on here, whether they are active or not. It breathes good times, respect and love. Togetherness and comfort when we go through personal or nature's disasters. Realtime fun and enthusiasm about ball games etc. I hardly ever see plain out disrespect or name calling on here and I certainly don't think that is because abusive posts are deleted. You get what you give. That is rare these days, looking at this Pandora's Box we call the internet. It is so easy to degrade someone you don't even know, to wish them the worst and call them every name in the book. Like in the Jukebox thread, *takes the opportunity to shout out to Captain to get his ass back on here and there* I don't seen any of that here. I know, Sim won't have it anyway, but I don't see it either. As for you talking about your consciousness of your own pessimism, I don't see that at all. But it reminded me of this thread about Inner Speech: Thread: Inner Speech I replied on there with this post (sorry for the repeat): To me inner speech is a blessing, when practiced the right way. I use it all the time and it often flows over to actual speech. Calling myself an idiot out loud to no one in particular but myself, in order to recognize a problem is very refreshing. It keeps me sane and healthy. Same as ridiculing myself for stupid or silly stuff I pulled.
I guess sane and health are keywords when it comes to inner speech, it makes you move forward and think in solutions rather than problems. Through that you grow and stimulate your self esteem, analytic abilities and belief that you can handle practically anything on your own. Labeling your problem is not productive, using your creativity to get through it is. And it is my firm belief that through that you connect with others much easier.
Of course there is a balance to sanity and insanity, like our former Queen Bea experienced when she went to visit the royal shrink. Her entrance was: "We thought we needed to visit you and get your opinion on us." First thing the shrink said: "Your Majesty, I believe you have a split personality." Bea got mad and replied: "Say what? How dare you. We have no such thing" and fired the guy instantly....
People who use their inner speech regressive instead of progressive, often focus obsessively on their problem, talk down on themselves, convince themselves they are the problem and that there is no proper solution, causing the problem to be even more present, shutting down, lowering self esteem, getting sick, driving you insane, losing connection to others, which emphasizes their belief that there is no solution to their problem even more etc.
Of course it also goes with the character one has and the linguistic skills, language skills, or wit. One person is more extravert than the other. One has more confidence and is more outspoken than the other. Yet is carries no risk for those who recognize themselves as regressive to try the progressive approach. Laugh at yourself, talk positive to yourself, stimulate yourself in finding solutions. I guarantee you that it will lighten your mindset. You will amaze yourself and others.
And God knows our society could use some of that. We laugh and live way to little together. Let's try to change that. You know my sweet friend, wisdom does not just come from age. It comes from the soul as well. Having an positive open mind to yourself and others, makes you gather wisdom and knowledge. About yourself and those around us. And through that you grow and it makes you feel blessed that sometimes your wisdom, knowledge and positive open mind rubs off on others. And that makes us grow together and give the feeling that nothing can touch us, despite the dents, brozes and scars we gather too. I know, I am getting philosophical again and than tend to write too much. You are alright Kickin. You are beautiful, respected and loved. Just like the others on this thread. And it is my privilege to witness and be part of that, even if it is with way too long contributions like this one.. |

Kayenta, Arizona Quoting: Goofy for God Navajo Nation Quoting: Goofy for God There are over 200 operational hard rock and industrial mines in Arizona, many of which use blasting technologies to break up rock (Figure 2). Blasting associated with mining activity occurs frequently in Arizona and can be confused for real earthquakes. If a small magnitude earthquake occurs near an active mine, it goes unrecorded because mine blasts and real earthquakes are too similar to differentiate. This keeps the Arizona earthquake catalog free from mine blasts. With additional seismic stations, and resources, these areas could potentially be more accurately monitored for seismic activity. Kaibab and Sinyala faults. The Sinyala fault has a young geomorphic expression, but has not been mapped as an active Quaternary fault because offsets along the fault are small. The West Kaibab fault system is thought to be an active fault with a low slip rate (< 0.2mm per year) [ link to azgeology.azgs.arizona.edu] |
