I am sooo psyched for Thanksgiving!! It is my favorite holiday; full of family and food and fun. This is the first year in a LOOOONG time that we aren't doing it here at my house, but rather my niece's house....we don't have to make anything!! We still are, because I like food..lol. I hope that all of you who celebrate it have a great holiday and just a great week in general. "I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious." -- Albert Einstein |

I hope that all of you who celebrate it have a great holiday and just a great week in general. Quoting: mistersplinter I have no family here now and for the past several years I've done Thanksgiving with my best friend, and we have a good time. We drink a lot of wine, yap, cook, sometimes watch a documentary, sometimes watch a little football depending on the game. We don't stress about anything and we keep the dishes traditional and as simple as possible. More years than not a few others have joined in as well - it's varied each year depending on what people have going on and who happens to be available without a plan. If nothing else, friends usually stop by on their way home for drinks and dessert. Sometimes Cards Against Humanity or Apples to Apples comes out. Other times friends brought instruments and a jam session broke out. It's really quite fun. Long day, though. Requires serious pacing of both booze and food. I hope you and Mrs. S have a great time and enjoy not having to do all the work! |
