My phone has been glitching since last night, and also oddly sucking battery life while sitting idle. I think it might be somewhat back to normal now, will know later after I'm on it more, I really haven't touched it much since this morning. My Motorola phone was doing the same thing starting 3 week ago. I had put in a new battery about 3 months ago but now it was using up the battery in about 4 hours and it was almost dead. I purchased a second new battery and installed it last week and in a day it was doing the same thing and discharging in about 6 hours. Got tired of this and did some shopping and went to Costco and bought a new Motorola G6 and spent a day and a half transferring and loading programs so that it was like my other 3 year old phone. Now this phone works great and is as close to my old phone as I can get it. I found the ATT transfer program on the play store and that saved a lot of time transferring all contacts, dialing records, messages and settings to the new phone.  Good to know. I'm with sprint so maybe they have the same transfer thing going on. One reason I keep putting off getting a new phone is the hassle of getting it all set up again. I usually have the person in the store do everything, but it's not always perfect. I am way overdue for a new phone and keep telling myself I need to bite the bullet, but I hate that stuff so it never seems to happen. I'm not one of those people who gets excited to go out and buy techy stuff (talking to you, CS). Just not my thing. You almost have to put a gun to my head. |

Thanks for sharing here. Got me digging a bit. Here's more to the father story partially quoted in the OP of that thread. Unfortunately the link didn't lead to a full story in that OP. But I found this during my digging... After the war he earned a degree in electrical engineering and physics. After finishing college, my father was ‘re-recruited’ by the military to join a group of other experts to study and work at an underground structure in Alaska that in his words they called the ‘Dark Pyramid.’ He spoke numerous times of how seriously the government took this project and the steps they took to keep it a secret. (I always assumed it was a military installation.) He said it was a study of energy distribution. He went on to be the key leader of the ‘information Bubble’ for AT&T which of course was the pre-curser to the web and cell phone technology we all know today. In his later years, he would always complain when receiving his electric bill that it would be FREE if we knew the truth. Now I’m starting to think he knew a whole lot more than we ever gave him credit for. I am in the process of going through his old papers and studies to see if there is any reference to his time in Alaska. There may be no information since as he said it was ‘Confidential.’ If this Pyramid allegedly found in 1992 is true, our Gov. may have known about it far earlier than that and had taken extensive measures to keep it hidden.
