The counterclockwise swirl high above the Arctic known as the Polar Vortex will wobble south next week, over the Great Lakes. This will deliver the coldest air of the season to most of the central and eastern United States. Get ready for the deep freeze, folks.

Quoting: joinca F*ck! I really wish I could afford to miss work during that. It is SO cold in there when it's freezing outside. This past Monday was awful. My fingers were so cold and painful. The thermostat for my area of the offices is broken currently. Just one more thing to add to my misery of that place.
Speaking of which, I have decided to actively pursue a different job. It's gonna be tricky. It's been made clear to me that I won't get employed by anyone in our industry if I leave. So I have to look beyond what I am qualified for specifically, which may screw up the advantage I have of long-term employment with the same company for 14+ years. This has really been my only 'real' job. My start date was in 2004. I graduated high school in 2000. Didn't go to college right after high school (and kick myself in the ass for that every single day because that piece of stupid paper means more than your actual qualifications). Ended up pregnant with my daughter in the beginning of 2002. Had been dating her father for 5 years at the time. She was born in November of 2002. I began working where I currently work today in 2004. I also had some oddball jobs between 2000 and 2002 (bank customer service and waitressing).
The positive I can pull out of my current job is the length of time that I have been there, as well as the MANY hats I have had to wear over those years. Shit, I have legitimate years of experience (over a decade) in everything from basic customer service to IT (I literally am the company's IT person) to event planning to floor plan design to invoicing, etc. Key accounts liaison & manager is my 'job title'.
Come to find out, after a bit of research, I am being fucked every single which way possible. The salary range for an account manager (which is even less than a KEY account manager) is $93,310 to $122,637. Trust and believe I do NOT make anything close to those figures and SHOULD! I solely manage ALL of the key accounts for my company. I am disgusted.
I'm just plain ol' fed the fuck up.
Life is just way too overwhelming lately and my defense mechanisms aren't pretty. : (
Sometimes I need my Irish to step in.
Sorry for the rant that ran rampantly off-topic.
