San Bernardino and Riverside County Valleys-The Inland
Empire...San Diego County Coastal Areas...San Diego County
Mountains...San Diego County Valleys...San Gorgonio Pass Near
Banning and Santa Ana Mountains and Foothills.
* through Thursday evening
* Rainfall of 1.5 to 3 inches is possible, especially on coastal
mountain slopes. Rainfall rates in excess of one-half inch per
hour are possible in the stronger showers and isolated
thunderstorms, which could result in flash flooding, especially
near recently burned areas and in poorly drained urban areas.
* The best chances of flash flooding will be Thursday when
heaviest rains are expected. There is also the possibility of
thunderstorms Thursday and Thursday night.
Instructions: A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation. Monitor forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
