Gross as our modern way of thinking, but wipe and put in a bucket of vinegar or diluted bleach, then wash at the end of the day. The point of bringing up diapers earlier, it was done for a 100's of years. I remember my mom using the toilet plunger to get off the most soilage off the diapers and into the diaper pail it went with some sort of solution in there. I don't remember what it was, likely 1-2 part bleach to 10 part water. Sure beats leaves |
