Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Re: Earthquake Thread ~ Always Updated*5.5 Afghanistan ~ Pg 20354 No kidding,,,,it is no wonder women become battle axes having to clean up after and nurture a bunch of slobs, while working a full-time job. And feminist movement only gave them freedom to leave their homes and serve some other demanding boss out there, while navigating an ever-increasing monetary inflation, as governments rode the wave of taxing their wages, falling more and more behind. And pay OTHER WOMEN to see to their child care and housecleaning if they could afford it. Where is the gain? It is a comedy of errors. I have watched the entire development of this over many decades, and women become more and more unhappy. The government looks out there and sees that a man has an entirely tax-free asset, a wife and mother in the home, whose value could be capitalized upon and TAXED if only she could be coaxed to leave her home and convert her value to taxable wage / salary. Governments couldn't believe their luck with this convoluted message to women that they were being made slaves in their own homes, and that there would be FREEDOM to them to go and be a slave to someone else. AS WELL AS KEEPING UP WITH THE NURTURING IN THEIR HOMES, SO DOUBLE-DUTY. wtf Because it is in our DNA to want to nurture and keep a home, as God gave Adam a help-mate and made us this way. Obviously, single or widowed women have always been in the workforce to support themselves. Don't flame me for being a relic of past happier home-life times; it's just what I have seen. It will get much worse over here, even though they say there is enough stuff. I don't worry to much about health, even though I totally feel for everyone who is and will be infected or worse. I worry most about the supply chain. Once we get Italian like situations here in Holland (and they are coming) and people are restricted more, production has trouble keeping up because of sick leave or restrictions, that is when the real shortages begin. But had to try and put it a bit in perspective and find a smile here and there to break the tension. It is what I try and am best at I guess. I hope that once the first wave of people stocking up has gone, others will be able to get their stuff as well and also that the elderly are being taken care of in that. I also wondered if you could order online and then pick up at your local grocery store or have it delivered? Stay safe out there sweetheart. We'll be alright! |

I was watching the Yellow Vests demonstrations in Paris this afternoon.. [ link to www.youtube.com (secure)] and I thought, how can people still be this ignorant. France is one of the current hot zones in Europe and people are there by the thousands, no masks, no protection, nothing. Even the police are without masks. And that's how it is everywhere. People and governments still have no clue about the seriousness of this virus and laugh it off. I ran by walmart yesterday for a few things and they had no paper products at all. Nothing. Little water. A few cleaning supplies left but not much. There a lot of other random empty shelves for odd things like the fresh take-n-bake pizzas. Later last night on the news and on twitter I heard many of the grocery stores here were going bare. Of course, you get a limited view and most of it is not the stuff I need so I'm thinking is there actual food left, or is it just the TP, water and cleaning supplies out?? I got my haircut earlier today and the gal who works the desk said she tried buy some ground beef last night and had to go to three stores. She said one of the Aldi's nearby was closed until further notice because they had no food at all. So, I wasn't sure what to expect when I went to the grocery today. I purposely hit two stores, from the 2 largest chains here. The first store was fully stocked. I didn't notice they were out of a single thing. The 2nd store I went to was completely out bananas, chicken (97% gone), and had a few packages of toilet paper left (other paper products fine). Some of the other meats and produce were a bit picked over, but everything pretty much was available to some degree. LOTS of corned beefs!! lol It not only varies from state to state, but it seems from store to store. Overall based on my experiences the past few weeks though, I haven't found it too bad here (yet). It sounds a lot worse elsewhere based on peoples' stories here. |
