I sent the info to my aunt to let my nanny know. Nanny will be calling the nurse soon for an update. I guess my uncle has a friend who is a head nurse at this hospital and will keep my uncle updated. My mother also has a friend who is a nurse at this hospital and is working now, so she will also stay in touch.

I was almost going to be the one to drive him to the hospital. My nanny called my mom crying saying that papa had to go to the ER. He needed a ride because he's the only one in their household who drives and definitely couldn't drive himself there. My mom kinda freaked because she has no protective gear and knew she would likely get it by driving him, so she called me asking if I would drive him because I have the protection. I'm not gonna lie. I was scared knowing that I would be putting myself at huge risk (as well as my household), but this is my papa and that was a chance I had to take, as carefully as possible! I literally had my tyvek suit on and was getting the other gear on when my mom called me back to say they ended up calling 911.

I'm so sad that he's alone right now. I understand why it has to be, but it still is so sad. He must be so scared. We're all so scared right now. :(

Also, if he is on any nsaids, he needs to stop them. Apparently they make the virus much worse. Advil, Alleve, celebrex etc...

I sure hope they can do it and heal him! I believe there is push back from some in the medical profession. CDC is suppose to be studying this treatment. There was supposedly a doctor in New York that had treated 350 patients this way and they all got better!

You may have to insist on this treatment!

Here's one more piece of info that's rather infuriating.

Before nanny called my mom, she had called papa's doctor. This was also before calling 911. The doctor said that papa needed to go to the ER and gave nanny a number. He told her that his office would call her back when papa's number was up and THEN he could head to the ER.

WTF?!?!

That was when nanny called my mom to arrange a ride for him, my mom called me and then nanny called 911 between our calls.

Take a number. Hopefully you don't die while waiting to be called back.

Papa has been admitted to the hospital (no surprise). He's now been officially tested and awaiting results. It's rather difficult getting answers from my aunt. She's unsure how he's feeling. She's unsure what they're doing for him. I'm the type who has a trillion questions. I want to know exactly what is being done at the hospital. Ugh. I want to let nanny rest so I won't call her this late with all of my questions, but I will call her directly tomorrow for some answers.

God willing he will be okay. When ready for discharge, I will be picking him up from the hospital to bring him home.
