Papa got his test result this morning and it was positive. He isn't doing well. They've moved him to ICU and he is being put on a ventilator. His oxygen is low.

Please pray

#Wuhan residents estimate, based on calculations of cremations and urns now being returned to families, that between 42k-46k (!!) died in city + surrounding areas in the 2.5 months of lockdown. Far more than official figure of 2535 deaths. #COVID19

Hi Caps hugs

If it were possible I would be by his side in a heartbeat. Hospitals have strict visitor restrictions in place due to the virus. They can't risk it. I understand that. I hate it, but I understand it.

It's good to hear from you. Stay safe my friend.

Sorry to hear the news on Papa, Simple. Prayer's of course. Are there a lot of cases in his area?
 Quoting: bigD111

There's a good amount of cases in our county (570). A lot more in surrounding counties. It's all over eastern MA.

[link to boston.maps.arcgis.com]

Our specific city had 28 confirmed cases as of two days ago.

Mass. has really just started testing in large numbers. There were too many restrictions on who could be tested, and which labs could process the tests. I think the numbers are much higher than officially reported here.

SOLAR WIND, INCOMING: A minor stream of solar wind is approaching Earth. Estimated time of arrival: March 30-31. Flowing from a southern hole in the sun's atmosphere, the incoming stream could spark springtime auroras around the Arctic Circle.

Coronavirus symptoms: A list and when to seek help

The eyes part makes me nervous. Recently, and seemingly out of nowhere, my right eye started bothering me. Several days now. Super itchy. Like my eyeball itself is itchy. And when it gets going, there is no stopping the rubbing and attempting to scratch that itch. Ultimately end up with a bright red eye. Even more recently, my left eye started to bother me. It looks like I have a stye forming and that eye is very sore. So both eyes look like shit. Could be from crying?

Still have a slight cough from weeks ago. Sneezing like crazy the past couple of days. I always have belly issues, so it's hard to tell if there's a new problem there.

I believe these symptoms are all due to stress. My body doesn't handle stress well at all. It's like I'm allergic to it...and currently I'm in hyper-mode. All symptoms that I have on a daily go haywire when the stress elevates, so it's likely that.

I'm pretty sure the air purifiers and vodka are keeping me safe from any viruses lol. *knocks on wood*

I have eye allergies, get some Visine Allergy drops, or one of the many other brands. I had a pink eye that wouldn't go away, then finally, I tried the allergy drops and they worked great. Over the counter!
 Quoting: bigD111

I saw an article (or maybe video?) at one point that mentioned red eyes, but not talking about conjunctivitis, it was talking about red around the entire eye area, not necessarily the eyeball itself. A nurse they interviewed who is working with these patients was saying the symptoms vary a lot from person to person but the one common symptom she had seen in everyone was the whole area around the eyes being red. Sorta like having dark circles under your eyes from too little sleep, but red. There were pictures.

The best OTC eye drops I have ever tried are the Lumify drops. They're pricey, but they are awesome! I do have some currently and have been using them. : )
