It is such gorgeous weather here today and they expect it to be like this the whole week. Temps in the 70s (normally these are temps we get at the end of May), sunny. At least glad that we can still go outside these days.

I took a few pictures on the way, for who wants to see them:

It's so pretty there. I can tell it's a nice day, can almost feel it! It was cold here yesterday, didn't break 50. Today it's in the mid 50s, so it's not so bad, but still cloudy. We are to have warmer days this week as well. Looking forward to it. It certainly helps the situation to have some nice weather and the sun shining.

I so agree with you! hugs The only thing to complain about is the guy who is in charge of the wind upstairs. It is constantly blowing fierce, already for months. And even though I am used to be running against the wind (hmm, nice suggestion for a song btw, let me call Bob Seger), facing it two miles head on along the river can be quite tiring.. tounge

Hope your day is going well over there my dear. hf

Not a shocker. 20-somethings think they are invincible and also are more concerned about their social lives before anything else. I was the same way. I just said to a friend earlier today that if this happened in my 20's I wouldn't have been able to stand it, and probably would've gotten together w/friends anyway. Youth causes stupidity and bad priorities much of the time.

Normally not so windy no, but I haven't seen many days this year that there was hardly any wind. Maybe the pole shift in progress ;-). And I hear you about the hair. Now that the barber shops are closed here, we most likely all look like John Denver in two months. The men at least, lol.

I didn't think it was normally windy there, but I thought maybe your city was like Chicago in regards to wind.

A friend of mine I talked to earlier (a guy) just told me he's going "full afro". He has fairly thick, curly hair and has no choice but to let it go right now. Also growing a beard since he's working from home. I just happened to get my haircut the weekend before SHTF here, I'm so thankful.

EDIT: I screwed up your quote there, dammit

I wasn't aware of that. The last I read on the subject was that there was no proof pets could pick up the virus. I haven't heard of any animals at all getting the virus until now. Have you?

ETA: Just got an alert on my phone about this. Apparently this is the first US-based animal know to contract the virus.

Limited data showing:

- virus replicates easily in cats (China study)
- cats can infect other cats (China study)
- cats can have COVID symptoms (Bronx Zoo)
- cats can be infected by humans (Wuhan study 15%)

Can cats infect humans? Remains unknown.
