Exactly CS. I'll just say it since it seems no one else wants to. Joinca makes political on here every single day. EVERY DAY, MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY, yet CS is being called out? John posts more politically charged crap than most of the rest of us put together. Sorry John, not trying to turn this into an attack on you, but I'm not going to allow CS to be attacked for something that others are much more guilty of. The difference is, most people here agree w/your stance vs. CS's, so you skate by while he is persecuted every time.

If you go back and look over time, with a few exceptions CS doesn't typically post anything political out of nowhere on this thread. The majority of the time he gets political here, it's because others here are doing it over and over and over, and so inevitably he chimes in. It's pretty simple, if you don't want to hear what his opinions are, then post so as you don't encourage it. Or is that the game - trying to incite others?

It's obvious why he's the one being blamed. Even people who are not on this thread regularly are blaming him. It seems everyone is all "free speech" until it comes to opinions that differ from their own, and then all the sudden they have a problem with it. CS included in that, he is not innocent. We will get nowhere if we don't learn how to converse and argue our points like mature adults. We will get nowhere if we don't stop saying "ALL dems" this and "ALL trumpers" that. This language has become the norm here and out in the world, and it is only driving a larger wedge. And if you truly believe ALL dems or ALL republicans do or act or think a certain way, then you need to get out of the house once in a while and interact with humans. I have no card in this game and I have friends who have voted for all political parties, and I do mean all. I don't give a rats ass what their political stance is, because they are decent people. There are good people and bad people voting for all parties. If you can only see any group of people as all bad or all good, then you are the one with the problem. Take a look around this site and notice how many people, including many on this thread, use that type of all-or-nothing language. This just digs us into a deeper hole than we're already in. So that leads me to my original argument that I presented here about a year ago. If you can't discuss and debate things without name calling or hate spewing, then I beg you, please take it to one of the countless political hate threads on this site that thrive on that. Or start your own. Hell, this entire site is political at this point, including every non political thread I may try to enjoy.

I don't agree with CS politically, but I will fight to the death to defend his right to have his own opinions. Just like I get to have mine. I wish sanity and civility would make a resurgence but I'm not holding my breath. So in the meantime, lets keep this thread a bit more sacrosanct and stick to EQ's, etc. If we are truly all family here, we need to act like it. This is one small island of decency in a very large, rough sea.
