If you go to her channel, she also posted a video yesterday about how the 6.3 in the Kermadecs affected yellowstone as the energy traveled, so it's interesting we see this sudden activity today. The thing about buying houses right now is the crazy bidding wars going on. That's sort of why we decided to go new. There was no bidding to drive up the cost. The lumber did drive up the cost some, but we plan keeping the new house through retirement and on. |

After record breaking heat last week, topping out at 103, it is currently 67!!!!! The high is only suppose to be 72 but it is already 2pm.
Love it
Quoting: WhiteAngel That's nice! We have a hot one today. It's muggy. Real feel is 93 at work, which is further north. It's likely hotter at home. Quoting: Simple27 I hate summer heat. Anything over 85 is toooooo much for me. We have ants coming into the house and they are driving me nuts. We've sprayed outside, cleaned and cleaned inside. With two cats, we can't use poison inside, so I use vinegar in a spray bottle. Mop with heavy bleach with is bad for my lungs but so is ants crawling in my hair! Woke up the other night knowing something was crawling in my hair, pinched it and brought out an ant. As most know here, I am a short heavy woman with crazy curly hair. I jump off the sofa where I was sleeping and do the crazy dance with head bent over and rubbing it hard to shake out the ants. Didn't realize I was screeching until everyone came running from their sleepy beds looking quite alarmed. "Ants!!!!! Ants in my hair" I screeched at them. My family started laughing. Not one of them gave me sympathy. I couldn't breath and was huffing and puffing. My daughter brought out her phone and proceeded to video me all the time I was telling her to turn it off. She said to show me what I looked like. My horror at seeing my C-pap still attached to my face, though very cockeyed, my hair standing straight out in a berserker afro and looking like a complete mad woman. Ants are NOT GOOD FOR ASTHMA. Quoting: Simple27 I used to have a really great smilie that would have worked better but got rid of it when I ran out of room. lol The outside problem has to be solved. Hubby is gonna spray again this weekend and the following one also to see if that will do the trick. The CT part of me is wondering why for the first time in my life time, people are coming to our house offering to spray inside and out for bugs and all of them say ants. When I lived in the Phoenix area in the 60's and 70's, Orkin got nailed for spraying bug eggs so that people would call them back more often. Wondering if these pest control people did the same thing with ants? We've had them the last few years but spray once outside and that's it. Now? He has sprayed twice so far and they seem worse than ever. |
