Hey everyone! Hope you all had a great day!
Passing on some second-hand info, fwiw.
Hubby talked to a friend of his, Bobby, today. Bobby lives in north Midland. He told hubby that he was told by SOMEONE or some agency in Odessa that there have been a number of earthquakes around north Midland, and he showed hubby photos of the road with cracks completely across the road. And photos of depressed areas that are in his back yard.
Now, these had to have been small EQs, or they would have been posted on here. And I haven't seen any news reports locally about EQs. They guys were out at work on an oil lease and the equipment was loud, so hubby didn't hear everything clearly. And he didn't think to ask for copies of the photos. :-(
I haven't had time to do any research on the EQ listing sites, but wanted to put this info out. I'm inclined to think the damage may be frack related, but it's still concerning. Or would be to me if that was my street and my back yard!!! I'm not sure I believe that such small EQs would crack the road. What do y'all think??
Quoting: justanothergranny Very interesting! Thanks for the info granny! ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Re: Earthquake Thread ~ Always Updated*5.5 Afghanistan ~ Pg 20354 In Southern Netherlands, the province of Limburg, we are experiencing heavy flooding at the moment. It has been raining heavily for days already and it is supposed to continue at least for another day or so. Daily totals that equal at least a quarter of the annual rainfall. [ link to netherlandsnewslive.com (secure)] Another link: [ link to newswep.com (secure)] At this moment there is a high probability of a big water buffer flooding, which will cause severe flooding of the town of Hoensbroek. The army has been called to help out. [ link to www.tellerreport.com (secure)] An impression of the flooding: [ link to www.youtube.com (secure)] I know in the big global picture these are probably minor floodings, but fact is that there is a serious uptrend in extremes in Europe, US, Canada and other places, whether it be heat, thunderstorms or rainfall and this year seems to be even more extreme. Super cells seem to be formed much more frequent. Of course there is a heated debate whether this is caused by climate change, which will never be closed, but one can at least wonder what the future holds if these extremes continue to intensify over the coming years. And in my mind there is no doubt they will. For the record, I live way outside the flooding area, in the Eastern part of Holland. |

99 pages to go till page number 16000. One interesting fact related to the EQ thread about the number 16000: (16000) Neilgehrels is asteroid number 16000. It was discovered by Spacewatch from Kitt peak on 1/10/1999.Named after Neil Gehrels: Cornelis A. "Neil" Gehrels (October 3, 1952 – February 6, 2017) was an American astrophysicist specializing in the field of gamma-ray astronomy. He was Chief of the Astroparticle Physics Laboratory at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center from 1995 until his death, and was best known for his work developing the field from early balloon instruments to today's space observatories such as the NASA Swift mission, for which he was the Principal Investigator. In a quarter cup water, put about 1/4 teaspoon grapefruit seed extract. Sip on this throughout the day / night if you wake up. Hold at the back of throat briefly before swallowing. IN ADDITION, eat small amounts of manuka honey, half teaspoon or so all day / night. Hold at back of throat also then swallow. FOR THE EARS, using q-tips, dip in the grapefruit seed extract water, and gently put in ear, or use a dropper and drop into the ear... But, really, if the thing gets worse in strange ways, you'll have to break down and see the doctor. AKA Auntie Arnie |

I bet you are nervous. I would be as well. Don't wait with this. You need to convince her to go to the doctor. Even if it might be a blood vessel that burst due to the coughing. Go to the doctor with her Sim! All it takes is a little time. Better be safe than sorry, especially in these strange times with viruses and stuff. Even that nasty cough can be something serious, for her and for you and others. You had your own terrible personal experience with it in your family, so please go to the doctor!!
