This is exactly what increasingly irritates me about this whole vac / no vac discussion. The whole lack of a healthy discussion and counter opinion causes more and more division in society. Because, apart from the mostly terrible, extremely hateful atmosphere on GLP when it comes to this subject, I do agree with that needed counter opinion.

What do we really know, other than what is pushed upon us like a tsunami through media and so called experts. Every counter opinion, whether it is about aerosols, masks or vaccines is blown away, even and maybe especially when that counter opinion comes from equally qualified experts.

A sane mind, doubt and counter opinions should have an equal place in this discussion. Side effects, long term effects, protection, in fact we hardly know anything. And to exclude people who ask legit questions, on that basis and flip them off with a "the government will watch over you" reply is simply outrageous.

As I said before, I did take the vaccine, because I myself have consciously made the assessment between the risks and the practical side. My body, my risk, my decision and not because I trust the government or the so called experts on their blue eyes. But that does not mean that I deem those who believe that risk is too big or don't want to take it for another reason a threat to society.

The biggest threat for all of us is the disruption of society that official opinions, tweets and decisions like these cause. As people we are opposite each other more and more, louder and more violent. Like I said before many times, your neighbor is not your enemy. The vaccinated or non vaccinated are not your enemy. At the end of the day we are all people who dare to pose logical, legit questions and fight for our freedom, on whatever side of the fence they might be.

I missed this post, but wanted to react anyway..

Sending your grandson, you and your family my utmost positive thoughts and prayers NJAG. He is on a very challenging road and those never go in straight lines, but with bumps and sometimes bigger mountains. He can be proud of what he achieved so far, with your love and help. He came a long way. And I am convinced that he will continue on that road, sometimes two steps forward and one step back, but still going forward. That is what counts. And that is what will ultimately bring him where he needs to be, with more peace and a better life.
