Lots of big earthquakes today in various places. As usual, Stanley Idaho is still having earthquakes. This is a mountainous region inland in the PAC Northwest.
It bodes watching for several reasons.

Scientists have been researching the Sawtooth fault since a 6.5-magnitude earthquake on March 31, 2020. An Idaho State University professor discovered the Sawtooth fault a decade ago.
Prior to September, the last earthquake in central Idaho with at least a 4.0 magnitude was Nov. 25, 2020.

Because it is a mountain region, I suspect this might be tied to volcanic activity, even in the presence of a fault. Even if I am wrong, Stanley Idaho hasn't been know to be associated with the kind of quake activity it is now experiencing. It's like an awakening is happening there in the seismic arena.
