My ears are ringing loudly since I woke up this morning. I checked cows at 2:30 am and they weren't then.

I had a very small herd of Herefords once. They calved out that was the greatest. I really wanted to be a farmer/rancher and I am glad I got a little taste.
 Quoting: Little bird

You got a taste, and they taste good! lolsign
 Quoting: bigD111

OH trust me I wanted to eat them. We had a fellow farmer who put a little bull in with them and they commenced to break out every single day after that for a week. We were afraid they would stray out on the Logging route so my x hastily got rid of them - and I was like - we didn't even get to eat one!!! But to be honest I don't think he could have eaten one. He was a Dairy farm boy and this was his first experience with beefers . . . anyway - it was an interesting experience. But there is nothing quite like a tiny new little white face standing with the big ones for the first time - meaning you spot the girls and now beside them a tiny little new face!

Shining Light on the Phases of the Moon

The first celestial object that attracts the attention of many people at a young age is the ever-changing moon. The lunar surface appears to go through phases over the course of a month, but what causes the moon to shine differently from week to week?

The moon itself shines by reflecting sunlight. And other than the sun, the moon is far larger in angular size than any object in the sky. In fact, a full moon is about 30 times larger and more than 1,300 times brighter than the planet Venus. Interested skywatchers can recreate the phases of the moon with an easy at-home experiment.

I had a long and loud right ear tone a few minutes ago. The kind were you kinda go deaf and the buzz just takes over. It was like a minute long. Crazy huh? Then both ears popped, one after another.

Whoa! MAJOR tone in my right ear just now. Not the 'deaf' kind where hearing goes null and slowly returns. This one was a high pitched insane ring that went on for a full minute. It's still there but greatly lessened. It actually hurt to the point I got tears and had to close my eyes.

wtf
 Quoting: JazzyG

Very similar thing happened to be yesterday, around 2ish Pacific time. I quoted my post from about 5 pages back.

Just so you guys know, I had the same thing yesterday. But this was very weird. I hadn't listened to any loud music within the 10 hours preceding this, and my tone was MAJOR. Like I could barely hear the PBA Players Championship over my headphones and every time someone talked my ear would literally throb to each syllable of sound because of how major the tone was. I had to lay down because it was so debilitating.

SOHO Sees Something New Near The Sun

An unusual comet skimmed past the sun on Feb 18-21, 2015, as captured by the European Space Agency (ESA) and NASA's Solar and Heliospheric Observatory, or SOHO.

This comet was interesting for two reasons. First it's what's called a non-group comet, meaning it's not part of any known family of comets. Most comets seen by SOHO belong to the Kreutz family – all of which broke off from a single giant comet many centuries ago.

The second reason it's interesting is because the vast majority of comets that come close enough to the sun to be seen by SOHO do not survive the trip. Known as sungrazers, these comets usually evaporate in the intense sunlight. This comet made it to within 2.2 million miles of the sun's surface – but survived the trip intact.

3D Printing Puts Giant Star System in Palm of Your Hand

Most astronomers rely on flat images to study cosmic objects, but a group of researchers is taking an alternate approach: They're creating 3D-printed models of a giant star system in order to study its physical characteristics and investigate its mysterious past.

Eta Carinae is the brightest and most massive star system within 10,000 light-years of Earth, and consists of two stars surrounded by luminous shells of gas. A group of scientists looking to better understand how this system formed created complex computer simulations that predicted how the gas should move and change as the stars orbit each other. The science team also created a video detailing their discoveries about Eta Carinae, based on their findings.

But the simulations were difficult to decipher on a computer screen, so the scientists used a 3D printer to bring features of Eta Carinae to life in three dimensions. The researchers plan on making the 3D printing plans available to the public, so anyone with a 3D printer can hold this complex star system in their hands.

So scary! My house was making some really strange sounds this morning. Like an alarm going off. A constant sound...and loud. Woke me up. It was around 6:30am and I actually got up and out of bed. Walked around the house, but couldn't figure out where the sound was coming from. Very strange. It wasn't an alarm though. It stopped so I went back to bed, but it happened again and again a few more times between 7:00am and 9:00am. Never heard this sound before. Not here or anywhere else. Freaked me out a bit.

My house has been making sounds lately too. It's the ice buildup inside the siding cracking. Makes all kinds of thumps and screeches.

Looks like you quaketards had a medical morning. Hoping and praying everything works out for all of Simple's Peoples or as my kids call you... "my imaginary friends". Love you all.

So happy to hear you got your approval Simple ! I know what it's like waiting for that approval when you are staring down a death sentence. I got a double shot of chemo today and combined my effort. I am now a mediquaketard. Insides are shaking like Japan.

Y'all hang in there and keep your spirits up. Or at the very least show up here when they are down.
