Just like I promised. Let's go back in time!!! Check this out! The U.S. Geological Survey has reported more than 30 earthquakes in the area since Sunday, including a magnitude 3.8 quake Thursday morning and at least 16 others occurring Wednesday, two of which were magnitude 3.2 and 3.5. More than 700 quakes have occurred in the region over the past six months. [ link to www.foxnews.com] |

And this happened just the day before, on Monday. Sorry if already posted. SEE IT: BoltBus from New York City explodes, burns on Massachusetts Turnpike A BoltBus that departed from New York City burned in a fiery explosion Monday on the side of the Massachusetts Turnpike.
The driver of the discount coach noticed smoke, pulled over and evacuated passengers about 5 p.m., the company said in a statement.
The Boston-bound bus was sitting on the shoulder of Interstate 90 near Newton when a fireball erupted, blasting out windows, video showed. [ link to www.nydailynews.com] [ link to www.youtube.com (secure)] Quoting: Simple27 ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

Quoting: BlueRidgeDoom2 Maybe foreshock...maybe not. Check out this link. Aftershocks, by definition, are smaller than the main earthquake and must occur within one fault-rupture length of the initial shock. The fault rupture is the area of the fault that is torn apart during the earthquake.
Scientists already forecast the risk of aftershocks based on long-term observations of earthquake patterns. For instance, the biggest aftershocks usually hit within days of the main earthquake, and trail off in the following days and months. The largest aftershock following the magnitude-9 Japan earthquake in 2011 was a magnitude 7.9 on the same day. The 2010 Haiti earthquake, a magnitude 7, was followed by a magnitude-5.9 aftershock eight days after the temblor. In general, the larger the earthquake, the larger and more numerous the aftershocks, and the longer they will continue, according to this model. [ link to www.livescience.com] ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

What happens eight to 17 days after viral infection is the onset of lethargy and the appearance of white lesions, National Geographic reports: "Sometimes the animal's arms rip themselves off and walk away. Eventually, the sea star deflates into a pile of white slime." While sea stars affected by a Densovirus commonly called "wasting disease" were identified months ago in Southeast Alaska and sporadically farther north, scientists had hoped chilly waters in areas like Kachemak Bay would thwart the disease that has killed millions of the top predators since 2013. pics [ link to www.ktuu.com] |

4 found dead in South Anchorage home Neighbors concerned as police investigate 4 found dead ANCHORAGE - Anchorage police are investigating the discovery of four bodies Wednesday at a South Anchorage home. Four people found dead at South Anchorage residence A relative of someone who lives in the fourplex where the bodies were found reported the discovery at about 12:30 p.m. on the 500 block of East 74th Avenue, said Anchorage police spokeswoman Jennifer Castro. Based on evidence at the scene, police have labeled the deaths as "suspicious" as opposed to an apparent accident such as carbon monoxide poisoning. No suspect was in custody as of Wednesday afternoon. A neighbor, 62-year-old Larry Olsen, said he saw a man he believes is related to a woman who lives in the unit banging on the door at about the time the bodies were reported. video [ link to www.ktuu.com] |
