I am not from the east coast and I use it frequently (when in the proper environment for such language). Personally, I can't stand the east coast. I couldn't leave there soon enough when travel out there is required. So, I really hope it's not an 'east coast' thing...I certainly don't want to mistaken for one of 'them.'

At least I can enunciate my R's, so I probably don't have to fear that someone may think that's where I hail from.

No offense to the east coasters!

TGIF folks,

After watching the I 15 fire and some of the other articles below that one about all the other fires going on, you're right. Something doesn't 'feel' right. This is being done on purpose.

Have any of you checked out Dane Wiggington's www.geoengineeringwatch.org who has been covering the toxic spraying of our country? He moved to a 1700 acres wildlife preserve in Mt. Shasta years ago and says all the trees and insects are dying due to the spraying and also the FK radiation. I'm so sad and pissed about what they're doing. Wall St is making billions if not trillions of $$$ betting on our future agriculture commodities, knowing of course how it's going to turn out.

Like WA, my garden didn't do well this summer or last. And I had a backyard 100 ft pine tree crush my 4Runner last Oct. No wind, just a very dried out tree.

Prayers going out to the humans and wildlife that are losing their lives and property all because of the greed of a few.

Hope you have a quiet security night, Simp. You do a great with this thread. You also have a very cool accent. Wasn't expecting that :)

Thanks for keeping me laughing. I'm heading to the beer cooler.

Authorities Say: 20 vehicles destroyed in 3,500-acre California wildfire that swept across freeway

Did you notice???? In all the footage I saw where are all the people those vehicles belong to? They show up and down the freeway for miles and there are only firefighters.

As my grandma would say, "It's dryer than a popcorn fart down there!"

With how dry things are down there the fire will spread extremely fast. I would guess that there's a lot of 'fuel' for that fire as well since it has been awhile since there have been really bad fires in that area (if I recall correctly) to clear out the underbrush. No different than what happened in Yellowstone in 1988.

Problem is that once a wildfire gets large enough it starts to create its own weather patterns which will whip up the wind and cause it to grow exponentially faster.

I would also guess that many of the wild land fire fighters have been shipped to Canada to fight the fires up there and it is going to take some time to reposition resources.

Australia covered in white: The biggest snow fall since 1984

Areas of southern Queensland, New South Wales, west and northwest area of Sydney, Australia, were completely wrapped in a snow blanket on Thursday, July 16 and Friday, July 17, 2015. This rare event was considered by some to be the country's most significant snow fall in the last three decades.

In less than a week, a second outburst of ice cold weather swept across Australia. Australian Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) reported about 8 cm of snow (around 3 inches) in the south of Queensland. Meteorologist Sam Campbell said that this could be the state's biggest snowfall since 1984, in line with the 5 cm snow fall (1.96 inches) in the winter of 2007.
