Today it rained, thank God! I was spraying my fields on Sunday, and one caught on fire, which quickly spread to the hills. The volunteer fire department saved the day. So yesterday, I was spraying out the field, and the fire restarted!!! I fought it alone for 20 minutes before help arrived, and we snuffed it out. Then, about 10 last night it began raining and I could relax. I am sore and tired today after the last two days!
Quoting: bigD111 It's crazy what you are doing... I did it for 10 days in the Rock Creek fire... very tiring...god bless... Quoting: =Captain Canuck= Believe me, my last two days have been a nightmare. It's my winter pasture, so I have been very worried. Not to mention all the pheasants, sharptail, and huns that hang out there. We only lost maybe 5 acres of grass, but I haven't slept worrying about the damn thing! The shrubs catch fire at the roots, and take off when they get the right conditions! Last Edited by bigD111 on 09/15/2015 09:02 PMdeplorably republican |
