Then today, I had another moment of a kid being in the candy store. I was told I can get an adapter that are very cheap, to hook my small digital camera up to the scope and take very close pictures of birds with - without the expense of a telescopic lens on expensive cameras!!!! "The Garland twister was only the second recorded EF4 in Dallas County. A classified EF4 on May 9, 1927, killed 15 people and injured 40 others." [ link to thescoopblog.dallasnews.com] For what it's worth I'm not sure El Nino's are supposed to bring tornadoes to the south in December - but El Nino's are supposed to be responsible for more tornadoes overall. Interestingly, the effects of El Nino's are mainly felt in cold months - winter - is that because the weather is warmer?? I don't think they understand "El Nino's" yet. |

Quoting: Birkeland Nope, they don't and have said they don't. One year might be mild and causes the worse weather the US has ever seen. Other year it is a big one and it is a normal year. Currently, we are seeing weather all over the place and NOTHING is normal. My aunt lives on the west slope of the Rockies. They just got a foot of snow. For her area, in 22 years they have never seen snow like that. The old timers that have lived there all their lives have seen bigger storms but not in 60 years or so. Cyclic and nothing stays the same. |
