Well, I think my dog is either losing it or I am.

He stayed in his crate almost all day and wouldn't come out. I finally got him to go outside a little while ago and now he's going from room to room 'gruffing' under his breath every few seconds like he hears something.

There's nothing out there, stupid dog.

so far today we have had blue bird blue skies, dark stormy skies, thunder, hail, rain and then snow. At one point the sky turned a bit greenish and I thought we were going to have a tornado. Crazy weather
 Quoting: WhiteAngel

I tossed out some bread, like most days. Usually just the Crows show up. Today was some Crows, two Seagulls, a few Robbins, whole bunch of those tiny brown birds, I think they are flycatchers, what kind I dunno, then even a Steller's Jay showed up. They all were just in the yard grazing. Like getting along. It was kinda odd.

The Steller's Jay has been hanging around the block for about 2 weeks now. He or she is very annoying at 6am, in the tree right along the side of the house my bedroom is. Those of you back east and Midwest don't know how annoying Steller's Jays are. They are also mean. If they don't like you outside, they'll follow for a bit and just yell and yell at you.

 Quoting: deanoZXT

There are days I have over 100 birds in my backyard of all sorts: Blue Jays, Black-capped Chickadees, House Finches, House Sparrows, Eurasian collard doves, Mourning Doves, Red Breasted Nuthatches, Brown Creepers, European Starlings, American Crows, American Robins, Northern Flickers, Downy and Hairy Woodpeckers, and Goldfinches. These birds are just what I have been seeing since late fall till now. When migration hits in the next few weeks, I bet it will be crazy and I can't wait! Love birds

NASA has just set us up for the big one now. This was supposed to pass within 15k miles from this planet and it passed 2.5 million miles from us? Now anytime there's an NEO with an uncertain trajectory, it can hit, and NASA can use this one as an excuse as to how "uncertain" things can be. So with any large meteor heading for us all they have to claim is it has an uncertain path, call it a close approch but unlikely to strike--and whatever the outcome, no blame for them.

Closest comet in 246 years approaches

UPDATE MARCH 4, 2016. A pair of comets showing very similar orbits are approaching Earth, and astronomers will use radio-telescopes to obtain radar images, while advanced amateurs may capture images of each of the twin comets. While both will pass at a safe distance, one of them will have a record-breakingly close flyby. Comet 252P/LINEAR 12 was already known to be passing by Earth on March 21, 2016 at a distance of 3,290,000 miles (5.3 million km). This is about 14 times the Earth-Moon distance, and, taken by itself, sets no record.

Comet P/2016 BA14 (Pan-STARRS) will safely pass Earth on March 22,2016, passing even closer than comet 252P. Comet P/2016 BA14 flyby will be at just 2,199,933 miles (3.5 million km) or about 9 lunar distances, which is very close for a comet. In fact, this comet – P/2016 BA14 – will set a record as the third-closest known comet to pass our planet in recorded history.

I was couch bound again today (no energy to do much of anything). I am going to consciously start today to stop resisting this lethargy sentence. I am going to embrace it and enjoy it. I make my own schedule so I am fortunate that I can work around the lethargy sentence and I am going to focus on my gratitude for that. I'm sick of moaning to myself about no energy. Putting it in print will help me to stick to my new goal. Thanks for listening.
