Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Re: Earthquake Thread ~ Always Updated*5.5 Afghanistan ~ Pg 20354 Mornin' peeps! Well, so far the ice storm hasn't been too terribly bad. It was dicey out there most of yesterday, but since just about the whole city shut down, nearly everyone stayed in. Therefore, we weren't hearing of as many accidents and MODOT was able to continuously work on the streets, which I have been hearing are in good shape overall. We got more freezing rain overnight but it was maybe another .10". Temp now up to 32 and is expected to rise to 35. Most precip for today is over until maybe late tonight. Tomorrow morning the third wave comes in, which they are saying could bring another .10-.25". It will move out by 11am or so and after that we should be in the clear. Monday it's going to be in the 50's so it will be gone quickly. Thurs-Sunday in the low 60's! I think this means I'm gonna be able to get out of the house later this afternoon and meet my friends for a few hours as planned! Tomorrow I'm more worried about. A friend and I had planned to make a big brunch and watch the playoffs at his house. I guess if we have to delay our start due to the precip tomorrow it won't matter since the first game isn't until afternoon now. I do hope it happens though, I already bought a bunch of groceries for it. Simple, I didn't take any ice pics mainly because this storm isn't much to look at. The precip was so gradual that by the time there was buildup, it was dusk. It still doesn't look like a lot, I think because of the warmer temp this morning, things are slowly melting. Hopefully on my car as well so I don't have to fight my way through that ice. Haun keep us updated as to how it pans out in your neck of the woods. Jazzy, I think this may be hitting you as well? |

Quoting: KickinIt Morning Kickin! Yep. Got freezing rain overnight but it didn't really amount to much. The roads are pretty clear for the most part, tree limbs aren't loaded down, elec/tele lines are still hanging where they should be....so good for now. But, it's only 33 and it's started raining again so....UGH To know where your heart is, look where your mind goes when it wanders.
