I appreciate everyone's sense of humor...Nefarious. However, I'd like to rant for just a moment...and it has nothing to do with your "humor". A few minutes ago, I found out a family member of mine was taken to the hospital late last night. They were apparently taking 3 breaths per minute and also have severe bleeding on their brain. All of this because of fucking alcohol. Sadly, this bullshit runs in my family. There are just a handful of people who have managed to stay away from it. I'm 28 and have tried quitting for years. I was finally able to do so about 4 months ago. This is the longest I've went without touching a drink since 2010. Only the few closest people to me know just how bad my drinking was. I was back home last week...and I could've seen this person. But they were obviously in the middle of a binge...and I didn't want to see them like that. Wish I would've now. Anyway, sorry for the rant...it just helped to type this all out. You're all pretty cool. Enjoy your Friday night. And always remember to be happy and thankful for what you have. |

My dad was a major alcoholic he could go on binges and stay up drinking for days. I was on the road to that myself started drinking at 15 heavily by the time I was 18 I pretty much quit around 24 and only due to the severe hangovers I would get the next day. I hardly ever drink now. Maybe once every 3 months or so I'll have a few and the hangover is always there to remind me of why I quit in the first place. It's not that bad being sober, I personally prefer it now. You can have fun and actually remember the fun you had, Congratulations on your sobriety. Stick with it bud you'll be glad you did.
