In a surprising manner, 250 years emerges as the average length of national greatness. This average has not varied for 3,000years. The stages of the rise and fall of great nations seem to be: The Age of Pioneers , The Age of Conquests ,The Age of Commerce ,The Age of Affluence ,The Age of Intellect ,The Age of Decadence. Decadence is marked by: Defensiveness, Pessimism, Materialism,Frivolity An influx of foreigners The Welfare State A weakening of religion. Decadence is due to: Too long a period of wealth and power, Selfishness Love of money ,The loss of a sense of duty. The life histories of great states are amazingly similar, and are due to internal factors. Their falls are diverse, because they are largely the result of external causes. - Sir John Glubb The Fate of Empires We are at the end of the Age of Decadence heading into COLLAPSE |

Simple27 (OP) User ID: 74957172 United States 08/15/2017 12:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A NEW SUNSPOT EMERGES: The growing sunspot (AR2671) is crackling with C-class solar flares and throwing moon-sized clouds of plasma into space. If the active region continues to develop, it could become a significant source of space weather in the days ahead. GEOMAGNETIC STORM WATCH: NOAA forecasters say there is a 70% chance of G1-class geomagnetic storms on Aug. 17th as Earth moves into a stream of fast-moving solar wind. The wind is flowing from a large hole in the sun's northern atmosphere. Coronal holes are regions where the sun's magnetic field peels back and allows solar wind to escape. Solar wind is flowing from this hole as fast as 700 km/s (1.6 million mph). High-latitude sky watchers might see auroras, especially during the hours around local midnight on Aug. 16-17. From link: The first earthquake struck not far from North Korea's capital of Pyongyang, where despot Kim Jong-un and his closest allies live. Measuring 2.6 on the Richter scale, the quake could be an indication of yet another missile test - despite worldwide condemnation. A second struck several hours later in the same location, measuring 2.5 on the scale. Holidays are often used as opportunities for the war-crazed North Korean government to carry out missile tests or send threats to their Western rivals. Today is National Liberation Day in the North, marking the victory over Japan in World War 2. ~*Ride the Wave*~ |
