Jeez, that sucks. I've never heard of so many people with blood disorders as I have in the past several years. No idea what's up with that. I bet you the incidence has increased lately.
Quoting: Isis One I wouldn't doubt it. Seems many health issues are on the rise lately. :\ My specific blood issues are my hemoglobin and hematocrit are too high. They leveled off to normal last year when I was being drained every so often, but I haven't been drained since last August and now my numbers are way up there again. High enough that I have to see a hematologist again. Blah. Quoting: Simple27 Yeesh!!! Sorry to hear you have to go through this, Simple. Anyway, I've decided to stay up. Venting out all my frustrations and everything into one long rebuttal of my annual review. I know it's not a good idea to send but it's not like my job is on the line. Haaaaa-haaaa-haaaa. I know. I won't send it. But it's good to type at least and get some grievances out. :mad1: :mad1: :mad1: :mad1: :mad1: |

Quoting: Isis One My guess is that we will be revisiting the Polycythemia Vera possibility. That causes high hemoglobin and hematocrit. I wasn't diagnosed with it last year because I had a bone marrow biopsy done and it was negative for a JAK2 mutation gene. Per the WHO (World Health Organization), that is a new diagnostic criteria. No diagnosis = no relief My begging and crying (due to physical pain) last year led to the blood drainings (which is the only real treatment for polycythemia vera). Gomez was actually the one who told me to put my foot down and demand the blood infusions. I would have never known. It helped so much, for so long. But I need another one. ASAP. Quoting: Simple27 Was just doing some research and wondered if it was Polycythemia Vera. Glad the biopsy was negative. How did heart, lung and kidneys check out last round?
