Did you know that the eclipse was on a new moon? Therefore, the next day was Elul 1. In history, Elul 1 was the day Noah's flood began. It was also the day Moses went back up the mountain to get the second set of 10 commandments. He was gone for 40 days, and Noah's flood was for 40 days.

Elul means repentance! We must repent for 40 days, since the eclipse. The end is Yom Kippur!

I've got some news here....

I got the job I interviewed for last week! I think it's a really good match for me and I'm finally moving more into administration vs. just the hands-on work, which I've wanted. And I got a really good vibe from the Executive Director and all the other people there. I've spoken w/him a few times since then, which only gave me a better vibe. I think he's very upfront and transparent as I am and he's super excited about having me on board, which is a good feeling of course. It's P/T right now, but that's ok because I mainly needed to fill the void from the other job that I lost. The goal is to make this F/T by this time next year. he needs time to not just secure additional funding, but ensure it's ultimately sustainable without having to rely on grants - which I appreciate because I've had many jobs end when the grants ended and I'm tired of that insecurity. As long as my other job holds out for another year or so, this works for me. I will start the week after next, so virtually no time between jobs and I still have half the week off next week.

Perhaps the dues I have paid over all these years have finally paid off.

Love you, too!

Long week, lol. From camping Labor Day, Red Sox game in the rain last night (it was a blast, but we got soaked, even with ponchos, lol) and I made some yummy appetizers for tonight's opening Patriots game. It took me all day long to cook these goodies, plus do a bunch of laundry and scrubbing things from camping. I need a bath- oh, wait, the tub is full of containers needing to be rinsed off, never mind. Perhaps I shall just drink some fireball whisky and call it a night. rofl

I have NEVER experienced anything like what I just did with that headache. Omg!

It completely disabled me. Had to close eyes, couldn't hardly see with them open. The most intense pain I've ever had with a headache.

As soon as I felt it coming on I took 2 Aleve. It came on FAST! And so STRONG.

Luckily I had a back-up painkiller on hand for an emergency situation. Took half of it about a minute after the Aleve. Couldn't even open my eyes at that point.

Nef got me a cold cloth to put on my head and I stayed that way, cloth over head and eyes for maybe a half hour or so.

Coming back to life now. That scared me a little. A lot actually. That was excruciating! WTF!??

I actually thought of you when it happened because I had done a little reading up on cluster headaches after seeing your post. My God, I couldn't even imagine going through that often. I would guess what you experience is even worse, but even what just happened with me was crippling. Had I been driving when that happened...

Scary thought.

Equifax Reports Data Breach Possibly Affecting 143 Million U.S. Consumers

This is even worse that it looks.

Breach at Equifax May Impact 143M Americans

Equifax, one of the “big-three” U.S. credit bureaus, said today a data breach at the company may have affected 143 million Americans, jeopardizing consumer Social Security numbers, birth dates, addresses and some driver’s license numbers.

[link to krebsonsecurity.com (secure)]

The personal data of nearly half of all Americans – including names, birth dates, Social Security numbers, credit-card information, addresses and even driver’s license numbers – may have been stolen by criminal hackers, one of the largest credit reporting agencies in the U.S. said Thursday.

Equifax announced that the data breach may impact as many as 143 million U.S. customers, CNBC reported. That’s nearly half of the current U.S. population of 324 million, meaning it impacts a massive number of Americans and is one of the largest cybersecurity breaches in U.S. history.
