Re: Earthquake Thread ~ Always Updated*5.5 Afghanistan ~ Pg 20354
So just got back from doctor AGAIN and now I have to have a sleep study down - yes at home. Seems when they did an overnight pulse/ox test, my oxygen was dropping below 88 over 12 times per hour and a couple of times below 80. I asked if this was a sign of COPD and she said no - if it was it was stay low and not come back up when I woke up. Something it would do 12 times an hour.

Son of a sea cook. Feel like I am falling apart. Most likely will now need CPAP.

I refused to ever say "next" again!!!

Guurrrlll, I know how much it sucks going to doctors, but I am SOOO glad that you are taking care of yourself and following up with EVERYTHING.

Just do it. All of it.

Having the sleep study at home is HUGE. I refused my sleep study out of fear of having it done in a hospital setting, or anywhere but HOME. So having that option is wonderful! My mom recently had to do one (at home) and she said it was a breeze. Didn't mess up her sleep much or anything.

Losing my neighbor/friend has scared the crap out of me. I am being very careful lately because of it. Any aggravation it may cause to travel to appointments and do this and that is worth being here as long as possible for our children. : )

Take care of you!

I don't understand how anyone can like cooking.

I'm making beef stew (even though it's a million degrees outside lol) and it has been an all day process.

I didn't like one second of it!

Hoping it at least comes out good.

Yeah, the cleaning might be a huge part of why I don't like cooking lol.

And it seems like anything good takes forever to cook. Blah!

Sorry to hear this WA! Hang in there! I got diagnosed with sleep apnea. Took there stupid test twice, had to spend the night each time. So for 2.5 years I tried to use the cpap, but I kept getting pneumonia. Finally I looked up drug interactions, and the Lotrel they had me on had an ace inhibitor that swelled my throat shut! So I didn't take it that night, and slept soundly all night. I threw them away, and never had that issue again.

When I lived in the area there, we'd get huge ones all the time. Even ran through one once that was out in a field. No, kids aren't smart and we were covered in sand and dirt and out hair was a mess. Took my mom two days to get the tangles out of mine. One of the neighbor kids got a paddling for being "stupid". That is what his dad said, lol.

That was what sent me to the doctor in the first place, my kiddos. Longevity runs in my family, 100+ is common, not rare. I knew I needed to lose weight but the shortness of breath was/is a major issue and no matter what was said, I was going to get it fixed. Then my gut started in. Then my heart. It was like, you want to live a long life, she your crap together girl!!!

So, I am doing it! Also, obstructive sleep apnea could be causing the A-Fib.
