Winter Storm Watch in effect for the Denver metro area. This is craziness!!!

...A STRONG COLD SPRING STORM STILL EXPECTED FOR SUNDAY...
.A STRONG STORM SYSTEM WILL MOVE INTO THE GREAT BASIN SATURDAY
NIGHT AND MOVE SLOWLY EASTWARD ACROSS COLORADO SUNDAY AND SUNDAY
NIGHT. RAIN AND MOUNTAIN SNOW ARE EXPECTED TO FORM OVER NORTHERN
COLORADO AND WYOMING SATURDAY NIGHT AS THE STORM APPROACHES
COLORADO. A SURGE OF COLDER AIR IS THEN EXPECTED TO MOVE OVER
NORTHEAST COLORADO SUNDAY MORNING...BRINGING SNOW LEVELS FROM THE
HIGHER FOOTHILL LOCATIONS DOWN TO THE I-25 URBAN CORRIDOR. ON THE
PLAINS...SNOWFALL AMOUNTS MAY GREATLY VARY DEPENDING ON WHEN THE
RAIN CHANGES TO SNOW. AT THIS TIME THE CHANGEOVER WILL MOST LIKELY
OCCUR DURING THE DAY SUNDAY ALONG THE I-25 URBAN CORRIDOR AND
SUNDAY NIGHT ON THE EASTERN PLAINS.
...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY MORNING
THROUGH LATE SUNDAY NIGHT...
* TIMING...SNOW IS EXPECTED TO FORM OVER THE CENTRAL MOUNTAINS
SATURDAY NIGHT WITH RAIN INITIALLY FALLING AT ELEVATIONS BELOW
9000 FEET. THE RAIN WILL THEN CHANGE OVER TO SNOW LATE SATURDAY
NIGHT IN THE MOUNTAIN VALLEYS AND FOOTHILLS. ALONG THE I-25
URBAN CORRIDOR AND PALMER DIVIDE...RAIN WILL CHANGE TO SNOW LATE SUNDAY
MORNING AND CONTINUE THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT.
* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...4 TO 9 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE FOR LOWER
ELEVATIONS AND SOUTH PARK...WITH 9 TO 18 INCHES POSSIBLE FOR THE
FOOTHILLS...AND 12 TO 24 INCHES POSSIBLE FOR THE CENTRAL
MOUNTAINS. ACCUMULATIONS ON THE PLAINS WILL DEPEND GREATLY ON
EXACTLY WHEN THE RAIN CHANGES OVER TO SNOW.
* WIND/VISIBILITY...HEAVY SNOW COMBINED WITH NORTHEAST WINDS UP TO
30 MPH MAY REDUCE VISIBILITY TO LESS THAN A QUARTER MILE AT
TIMES.
* IMPACTS...THE HEAVY WET SNOW MAY ACCUMULATE SUFFICIENTLY ON
LEAFED OUT TREES TO BREAK TREE LIMBS...CAUSING POWER OUTAGES.
IF TRAVELING SUNDAY OR SUNDAY NIGHT...EXPECT SLUSHY AND SNOW
COVERED ROADS...MAINLY IN THE MOUNTAINS AND FOOTHILLS. SOME
ROADS IN THE FOOTHILLS AND MOUNTAINS MAY CLOSE DUE TO HEAVY
SNOW.

LOL!!! Fondant does get hard but it keeps what is inside wonderfully moist. I always ice the cake with buttercream as many people peel the fondant off as they don't like the taste. Mine is yummy too as I make my own using marshmallows...the kids are always sneaking pieces.

China wants to build high-speed railway to US through Siberia and Bering Strait
According to a report in the Beijing Times stated on Thursday that the country is considering building a new high-speed railway that would ultimately connect it with the lower 48 states of the US.

Specifically, the route currently under consideration would begin in northeastern China and run through Siberia to the Bering Strait. At this point, there would be an underground tunnel that cuts through the Pacific Ocean to connect Russia and Alaska, from which the train would continue south through Canada until arriving again in the United States.

Hey Guys, I don't know if this is anything, but an acquaintance sent this link to me, and I thought I would share. There is a FAQ's section, and info below is from that, but the link is to the web page showing the activity. Anyway, if this has already been covered all apologies. It is new info for me.

The Digital Attack Map presents data gathered and published by Arbor Networks ATLAS® global threat intelligence system. ATLAS sources its data worldwide from 270+ ISP customers who have agreed to share anonymous network traffic and attack statistics. Data is updated hourly and can also be found in Arbor's ATLAS Threat Portal. DDoS data ©2013, Arbor Networks, Inc.

[link to www.digitalattackmap.com]
 Quoting: Vesper33

I've seen this map before within another thread and never bookmarked it. Thanks!

Per this article, the DDoS is being attacked today. I guess that is why it was sent. I did not truly understand the info at first, had to do a little digging.

[link to revolution-news.com]
 Quoting: Vesper33

Nice find! Gotta love the wording...from link.

There is a massive internal DDoS attack taking place in USA today. The attack seems to be a DNS amplification that is affecting at least 220,000 domains belonging to domain hosts, Point DNS. We are still looking for information and will update as details become available. At the moment it appears like a cyber-nuke has hit North America.
