You must've needed it after all that Legend of Zelda!! tounge

Glad you got some good sleep!

I will embarrassingly share how much I LOVE the old school video games. I have a Super Nintendo still from when I was a kid. Actually I have 2, the other one was one of my sister's. I have a bunch of the old games...all of the Mario's, Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong 2, etc.

I spent DAYS trying to hook it up a week or two ago. Tried every possible input on the TV, then tried the cable box, then tried an old school box TV that the previous owners of this house left behind...I tried everything!!! Only to finally realize I was missing a specific cord, ugh! Googled it and found a way to hook it up without that specific cord. Again, tried three separate TV's and NADA! : (

I need my Nintendo fix, so I am quite jealous of you lol!!

Nothing worse than a family behind me in line at the check-out with a bunch of rude kids who are pushing me when I am trying to check out. I glare. I push back. Finally I asked them to move back till I am finished. I get spoke to nastily and ALWAYS in mexican. Yes, it is an big time illegal alien problem here.

By the time I leave the store I am fuming.

My children have been taught to stay away from the people in front of them - to give them space otherwise it is rude.

Guess I have turned into a grumpy old woman

Indeed!!

Ain’t nothing embarrassing about that!

You’re talking to a guy who looooooves old school video games (when work is all done, of course). I have a Wii U, an XBox One S, and a PS4. But alas I take to my computer and love getting in a few old school games on my emulator of choice. I have at least three original NES systems and one Super Nintendo myself and they are all packed away.

Also i have a respectable collection of games for them too (all the Marios, Zeldas, etc). One of my absolute favorites is a not-so-well known title: Crystalis.

Many of us gamers are actually finding a certain fun factor in many of the older games that are sorely lacking in today’s modern gaming. I got so tired of all the updates and having to do so much stuff (like watch a 10 minute movie or perform 10 other things before actually starting the game).

Like what happened to just hitting the freaking start button???

For the Super Nintendo, if you have a modern TV with HDMI just grab an RCA cable with composite video out to HDMI converter box (that’s what you will need). Might help to get one that has an HD upscaler. Here’s something that may help as well: Google The Retron 5 by Hyperkin.

Just the old stuff lol. I also have a joystick and box thing that plugs right into the TV and you can play Pac-man and a couple of other OLD arcade games. I actually thought that was lost, but found it when we did over that room for Mini. Huge score haha!!

I don't do Play Station or X Box. I do have a Wii, but my youngest sister has all of my better games at her place. Tried to get them back a few months ago, but apparently she is holding them hostage lol.

I recently got hooked on Frogger on the PC when I shared that Pac-man link lol.

I'm a total nerd!

One of these that specifically says it supports Super NES should work on a modern HDMI TV:

Oh, I have all of those connections. What I need is this cord, that looks similar (almost exact) to the Wii one, but has a lip thing the Wii one doesn't.

Here's the Wii cord the SNES cord that I need looks just like...

[link to imgur.com (secure)]

The HDMI cord won't work because the box itself would be the end the HDMI tv part of the cable would plug into.

See what I mean?

Dang, sorry you might miss it! Unfortunately my worst vantage point from my house is looking east. Higher tree line. But I was just sitting outside for a bit, and I could finally see it rising through the trees. I think I have about 5 more minutes before it's over the tree line. There are still whispy high clouds around here, but it's making her look pretty and mysterious :)

Skies are mostly clear here. It's yellow tonight instead of the bright white it was last night.

Nah. I like that color too but this is different. It's the color of creamed corn....like it's sick or something. It's weird.

A true warrior fights not because he hates the one in front of him, but because he loves those behind him.
