Dormant volcano ERUPTS for the first time in history and sparks evacuation of entire island - as experts warn explosive magma could cause a TSUNAMI

Hundreds of residents have forced to evacuate their homes after a surprise eruption from a dormant volcano, carpeting the village below with dust and ash.

A volcanic plume of ash and gases rose more than two kilometres into the air over Kadovar Island off the northeastern coast of Papua New Guinea.

Experts are racing to uncover the cause of the unexpected eruption as lava continues to spew from the volcano, covering more than 50 per cent of the land.

Cars trapped overnight on Spanish motorway due to snow

Thousands of people spent the night trapped without moving in their cars after heavy snow forced a motorway to close down in Spain’s Castile and Leon region on Saturday (January 6).

Spain’s El Pais reported that between 3,500 and 4,000 cars were blocked on the AP-6 motorway to Segovia all Saturday night waiting for snow blowers to clear the way.

On Sunday morning, around a thousand vehicles remained trapped in the motorway said Spain’s Directorate-General of Traffic (DGT).

Remember this thread?
Thread: Breaking - WTF is happening in Ecuador - Suddenly the ocean disappeared!!!

Apparently a few days ago on the 5th there was an incident in Colombia where huge waves suddenly overtook a beach and flooded it. I can't link where I saw the article but I found these:

All this stuff has to be connected. Remember the receding water in Uruguay/Brazil area this past year? If you recall, within a few days of that there were unexpected high tides, waves, and flooding off the coast of Chile.

And why does South America seem to be the location for all this stuff?

hmmm

Wild.. I was thinking of this the other day. All that is connected, no doubt. Something is going on under the vastly unexplored oceans down there.

Yes it has so far. My African Violets and Orchids decided to bloom this weekend for some unfathomable reason so its looking a bit tropical in here. I'm playing some Amazulu and sipping on Cinnamon tea whilst enjoying the flowers.

I hope your weekend is going well, too. Cinnamon tea with sugar is good for hangovers BTW.
