Yeah, me too! Anyone else think the recent quake patterns point to a large rupture soon on the Cascadian Subduction Zone?

I don't know about that, but I have noticed Cali seems busier than usual. That might be a false perception, I haven't taken the time to check. And it seems most of that activity has been in central and northern cali, which makes me wonder if southern cali might be the target for something a bit more sizeable.

It seems the longer it goes on the bigger the quake will be. Per the dutch guy's latest stuff, the Alaska quake set in some motions events that should culminate in something large around the CSZ or So Cal.

We'll see.

China lofts earthquake research craft with cluster of smaller satellites

"A Chinese Long March 2D rocket successfully delivered seven satellites into a 300-mile-high (500-kilometer) orbit Friday, boosting international missions to measure seismic signals that could help predict future earthquakes, take detailed imagery of planet Earth and test compact camera, propulsion and radio technology.

The main payload carried aboard the two-stage Long March 2D rocket was Zhangheng 1, a Chinese-built satellite designed to sense precursor signals emitted before earthquakes, research that could eventually lead to quake predictions.

Nine scientific instruments aboard the 1,600-pound (730-kilogram) Zhangheng 1 spacecraft will measure Earth’s magnetic field, plasma and other particles to search for disturbances triggered in the early stages of underground seismic events."

What's causing these booms? City of Springfield (MO) wants to know

Those loud booms you've been hearing? The city of Springfield wants to know more about them.

City spokeswoman Cora Scott said Wednesday that the city has received two formal service requests and nine calls about the booms in the past few weeks.

And after more booms were heard early Wednesday morning, many more people are chirping about the booms on social media.

"This is something huge. This is something big ... I wouldn't know how to describe it. It was like a deep, loud boom," Edwards said. "It wasn't normal — whatever it was."

"There's a pattern to this," she said.

The booms are happening between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m., Melton said, and they're loud.

Good morning!!!! I have been running around like a chicken with its head cut off for my first week back to work. Also have been managing my own clients as well as a full-time job when all of them wanted work done this week (oy vey). So I crashed as soon as I got home last night and just woke up.

My week at work ended like this: I sent my final, 130-page project back along with approximately 25 supporting Excel docs, custom data reporting, the whole nine yards. My new boss sent the following email to the big boss:

"Hey, check out CS's work. Incredible Stuff!"

Wonderful, Curious !!! Whatever you do, seems as if you are a very highly qualified and talented person !!! Glad to hear from you that all is going well after a stressful week...
(be sure to take at least 400 mg magnesium per day,,,and maybe an epsom salt bath, 2 cups in hot water, sit there for an hour...the magnesium soaks into your skin----this helps so much in keeping stress from taking too much of a toll....)

Yes me too, that's why I posted it here. And I'm nearby in STL so I certainly don't want to hear about any booming south of me. And oddly, late last night a couple times in a row there was a vibration/rattling in my house. The second time it lasted for a good 30-45 seconds, and I couldn't figure out what was even rattling, but it was a new sound that I've never heard. Wasn't windy, and I went to look at some seismos and they didn't indicate any movement. But I thought of that when I saw this article.
