You know honey, maybe it does not feel like that, but even you being there made a world of difference to Jessica. Everyone is in a fog, an auto pilot mode, numb. Trying to distract their mind with whatever. But in her heart she knows what a beautiful friend you are and always will be at any time.

No, you can not take it away. That sucks, it is fucked up and makes you want to kick holes in the wall. But you can't. All you can do is to keep being there for her and her kids, like you and Jessica have done so many times for each other.

Being there for each other is the consistent factor in both of you finding your way back up again, slowly, but steadily. You will find that way, not today, not tomorrow, but you will. Through that thought you will find strenght, together. Trust me.

Now is the time to be angry, sad, mad and scream. Let it out. But never abandon each other. I know you won't and that is what pulls you through. In time..
