Found a job guys!!

Got myself a nice little plastic red cup and a comfy, busy intersection to panhandle at. Unfortunately the local raccoons only offer minimal health benefits but my 401k is really taking shape as change I keep buried in the dirt with a mason jar.

Killed these interviews... or so I thought. 0-3 with one more on Friday - the selling phones one. Derp. I ain't stressed tho, I'll find something eventually.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weeks!

And talk about selling phones, how is your singing? It could be a spring board to a whole different carreer. History taught us that..

Lol thanks bro. I could do all these jobs i applied for that didn't call me back - and exceed at them. That's the frustrating part. I know I would be a valuable asset. But I'm just a nobody in their eyes.

That's honestly one of the biggest problems with this world as a whole. We don't give strangers-people the chance they deserve.
 Quoting: Master of Nothing

Don't assume it's because you're a "nobody" to them. There are A LOT of people looking for jobs. Often there are hundreds of applicants for a given opening. I've been told that many times, for jobs in my field, but also in others (I've asked around). It's a tough market. It simply takes more work to find a job these days (years, really). And don't give up on non-profit work. If you can just get your foot in the door, the right people will sense your passion and it won't matter that most of your experience is in other areas (experience they can use as well in the long run, it's not all about non profit or social work-type experience).
 Quoting: KickinIt

And if you can take the time between applying, pick a non-profit you really like and ask about volunteering. If they get to know you through your work that way, you might have a better chance at working there. And might hear of openings there before they get advertised!
Good luck! I just had to start trying to get another job, so I know how hard it can be. My area (the oil patch) has an abundance of jobs - of all kinds! But it's not a very pretty area to live, and the cost of living is outrageous. Lots of people living in travel trailers...

Happy good Friday everyone.

Have a laugh at this Littlepixie who only realized yesterday that I can add people to my buddy list!

Like, Ive been here 5 years, scratches head and laughs at self.

So you will be pleased to know, I have 99% of those that were in this thread at the start in my buddy list.

Thank you all so much for the constant updates 24/7.

I have also noticed that whenever the Mexico quakes start going deeper than normal that a big one happens some where on the planet.

Stay safe everyone, wishing you all a brilliant Easter with even better health for all.

I love you guys n gals.

And people who genuinely need assistance, and are on some form of welfare, are also working part time.

A lot of working folks also volunteer their time to organizations.

Just sayin'

Only around 25-30. I did a 12 inch layer and a 10 inch one for the guests. I topped those with an 8 inch for the bride and groom to take home for their first anniversary. Even got em a fancy little box to freeze it in.

I'm making buttercream frosting to cover in a rustic style. I hope it comes out as good as it looks in my head...lol.
