SirAtlas User ID: 34408102 United States 11/19/2013 12:41 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There was a 4.1 about 20 minutes ago that didn't get posted (I even saw some shaking on the FUKU cam. Definitely not wind!) [link to www.jma.go.jp] And there was a 3.9 shortly after. I don't have a link for that one yet, but it's still showing on the neids4map on ustream. Japan quakes seem to be underreported in general, unless I'm missing something. Perhaps the reliability of these sensors don't make the cut for USGS? No idea. ~Atlas |

Simple27 (OP) User ID: 44334522 United States 11/19/2013 12:51 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Simple, Do you know why the Japanese EQs sometimes take forever to get posted on USGS or EMSC(if at all)? I have [link to www.ustream.tv] up constantly and there a several quakes per day that never get posted. I've noticed this myself many times, but don't bother posting if I don't have a link. Very scary with the fuel rod removal process... ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

USDAlady User ID: 1767275 United States 11/19/2013 01:48 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm familiar with Earthquakes around DC, the little rumble crescendo is VERY distinct. Granted they're almost always less than 4 on the scale, but I never see them on the Earthquake tracker any more? We just had one around 1:40 AM. [link to quakes.globalincidentmap.com] Nothing? |
